Great Way to Spend Christmas

This was a great resort the food was always good and surprisingly really well done at the themed restaurants on site. The beach was great and very private as we were in a cove so it was only resort guests around.

We would go back in a heartbeat for another Christmas because it is so far south the weather was really great and the sun was up about an hour or so longer than where we came from.

Our young adult children also really enjoyed themselves and I know they stayed out all night partying while I was in bed nice and early. I was always the first one to the beach, not just in my family but the whole resort and that too was wonderful as I could relax and read for a few hours alone and soak up the solace and watch the sun rise...also saw it set from about the same place. Totally chilled after a week.

Beautiful and relaxing

This is a nice resort with a nice private beach where you can waterski, kayak or sail. You can also book a couples massage in the gazebo overlooking the ocean. The food was good, but not exceptional. I would recommend it for couples of families.

A great resort for the price!

We were a party of 4, with teenagers ages 13 and 16.

THE ROOM:
We stayed in 1 room, our room was quite far from the heart of the hotel. The rooms were very modern and clean. The bathroom was an okay size, but was kept very clean. The shower was a bit small and had poor water pressure. The sink water was safe to drink. The mini fridge in the room was stocked every other day which included beer, water, and different types of soft drinks. The beds was very comfortable. There was a lot of storage in the dresser and the closet had tons of hangers. The TV was a decent size in the room. The room had great lighting. The air conditioning worked amazing.

THE STAFF:
The staff was extremely helpful.. The bar staff were very fast at serving drink and the restaurant staff were very friendly. The activities crew was awesome! They made the trip what it was!

THE WIFI:
The wifi was a good speed, you could use it for most online things with a little wait time. There was no wifi in the room.

THE FOOD:
Main Buffet:
The food in the main buffet was Excellent. There was a lot of selection, but was very similar everyday. The buffet was themed for dinner. There was no air conditioning.

seafood:
This is the sit down restaurant. This restaurant was amazing!. This restaurant had quite a good selection. This food was so good! There was no air conditioning, in was open concept.

The Italian restaurant:
This is the sit down restaurant. This restaurant had a good selection This restaurant was not air conditioned, as it was open style. The food was amazing!

The Asian restaurant:
This is the sit down restaurant. There was a big selection on the menu. It tasted great! It was air conditioned.

ACTIVITIES:
There was tons of activities during the day! The kids club always keeping the kids very busy all day with tons of fun activities. Tons of water sports included! This resort was missing activities for teens.

The nightly shows were awesome and very different every night.

THE BEACH:
The beach was dark sand, making it not look the nicest. And had no shade from the sun. There was tons of loungers available. The beach was not kept very clean.

THE POOLS:
There were two pools. The pools were a great size!

My final thoughts about this hotel is that we really did enjoy it. I would rate it a solid 4 stars.

Not recommended

beach was not clean, small and stony, food quality and quantity was very poor, pools and rooms were OK. If there was no neighborhood beach with amazing view, clean and sandy, our entire vacation would be nightmare.

Smugglers Cove 'ne' Club St Lucia

Club St Lucia was a Clean Tidy and desirable Location and Wedding Resort back in October 1992 when my Wife and I got Wed.. It is sad to see that this Resort has been left to rack and ruin and has been taken over by a different Management team as the one's running it in 1992 were Fantastic. I now hear it is called Royalton and has been Flattened ! This is a great shame as I was due to return for my 25th Wedding Anniversary... Hopefully the Venue is befitting its gorgeous Location for the future..

Enjoyed the All inclusive resort.

We booked 5 nights here after staying in the rain forest Fond Doux estate for a few days. Enjoyed the fact that everything was free so ate too much in the various restaurants and made the most of drinking fruit cocktails and the water sports. Loved the hotel pools - some mixed, some adults only with swim up bar etc and a variety of food places- buffet or sit down/waiter. You have to book if you want to go to the restaurants and the smaller ones are harder to get places in .
Room clean and satisfied our needs. We had to walk 3 mins to get to the main part due to size of resort.
Only grumble was you would have to wake up early to line up and book the water sports activity of your choice for the day. However, we and our teens had opportunities to do banana boat ride, water ski,.canoeing etc.
Enjoyed the jet ski but had to pay and negotiate the price direct with the men on the beach for this.
Beautiful nightly sunset . Not to be missed.

Fantastic Resort

This is a splendid resort with clean rooms and excellent facilities. There are numerous restaurants including a buffet and the food is of excellent quality. The only let down was the Dorado restaurant where the service is appalling (Don’t go unless you have plenty of time to waste) and considering that St Lucia is renowned for its seafood, this “seafood restaurant” does not serve lobster or crab! It has facilities for adults only but also caters well for kids with plenty for them to do. I would recommend a room upgrade as the rooms are spacious and with good views, and the butler service is brilliant. It can become a bit windy but not quite as bad as Aruba. This resort is well worth a visit.

Dinner

We ate here to have a change from our all inclusive The Body Holiday. Overall nice bar and restaurant which is open and set on the rocks so you can hear the waves crashing. Food was decent if not somewhat restricted menu, I believe only for dinner guests and not for hotel guests though. Worth a visit.

Just arrived to the best welcome we have ever had. Totally overwhelmed by the friendliness.

Only arrived yesterday to the most amazing friendly welcome we have ever had on holiday. Every person we met while walking around was friendly and enthusiastic.
The room is amazing and the view breathtaking.
The food at the Steak House last night was easily 5 star standard and 5 star service.
The Piton breakfast I had this morning was really tasty and delivered by the most charming young man.
Rafael who took us to our rooms yesterday was informative and chatty.
This place is perfect.
Thank you Royalton and everyone for a lovely warm welcome.

Barry and Gill

Just arrived back from a fantastic holiday.
The staff at this hotel are second to none.
We had the diamond room and our two buttler Kayson and Agustin made us so welcome and looked after us throughout our stay. The layout of the hotel is perfect and easy to get round.
The food in all the restaurants is fantastic and all the staff so friendly and helpful. We have been to a lot all inclusive hotels but this is the best one by far. The only problem is the journey from the airport to the resort not the best when you have been on a flight for hours but it is worth when you get there.
