Amazing!

Absolutely loved it here! Everything was so clean and professional. The staff is so kind and helpful as well. We really enjoyed the royalton fit staff! they were amazing, especially black coffee (alexander). The pools and beaches are amazing and beautiful. We 100% recommend this resort!

Diamond Club must mean something different here.

We were here for my brother's destination wedding. My brother had hyped the service and the food from his previous visit and urged the upgrade to Diamond Club for a more upscale experience. We were supposed to have butler service. I've had better service from a room steward on the bottom floors or a Carnival cruise. First they put us in a top floor room when we had asked for ground floor because my mother was sharing our room and has COPD. She can't do 3 flights of stairs (none of the buildings have elevators). Our butler did manage to get us moved to the ground floor. We quickly realized the ceiling fan was not working and reported it. Maintenance finally came the next day. We let them in quickly and prepared to leave to get out of their way. They promptly oiled the hinge on the cabinet for the refrigerator, laughed and left the room as we kept pointing to the ceiling fan and saying it didn't work. We told the butler , the concierge, and the front desk. 3 days later, they finally told us they couldn't fix our fan and all they could do was move rooms again. I declined the offer to move for a second time. We never got the "Diamond Club" treatment or bottle service when we arrived. No beach bag, no slippers, no robes. Nothing mentioned on the Royalton site and app. We asked our butler, he smiled and said the next day we would get bottles. We never got them. It rained at some point almost every day. I asked our butler for an umbrella that was supposed to already be in our closet in the room. It never happened. The butler told us two days later, they were out of umbrellas after promising several times to bring us one. I'm writing this review on our last day here. We go home tomorrow. The food is lackluster and even when you find something decent, it's inconsistent. One time will be hot and edible. Next time, inedible. The "Score" bar is supposed to be open for lunch. It doesn't open till 3. They won't let you take anything out to someone back at the room. I don't know why. It's supposed to be all inclusive. Our maid and the Diamond Club lounge attendant are the only pampering we got this whole vacation. It was an exercise of patience almost every minute of our stay as no one seems to care to solve any problem at this "resort" On top of it all, I've been reading so many horror stories from other recent visits, I'm hesitant to go complain as I've read that the resort has also called the police on guests. Nothing we've said so far has been addressed and I can't wait to leave and never return.

Wendy Yitin & Luiz Daniel

Had a fantastic time, 2 staff stand out as exempliary was Wendy Yitin at Martini Mix & Luiz Daniel at Oceanside restaurant made us feel special and couldnt ask for nothing more of them. Hotel lovely, stunning views and an overall great experience.

Our birthday trip to Punta Cana

Stayed at Royalton's before in both St. Lucia and DR and had very good experiences. This stay.........not so much. First check-in was slightly long but no big deal. The attendant upgraded us to a Diamond Club room (which is just like any other room) but none of the Diamond Club amenities. Ok......then just keep us in the standard room we booked but whatever. No problem.
Next....with hurricane Melissa swirling around in the tropics we got a decent amount of rain. Ask for an umbrella (which the property clearly had) starting from Tuesday when we checked in until Friday. Call this number, go to the front desk, talk to guess services, talk to housekeeping. Did all of that a never got an umbrella. Frustrating part is, it's just an umbrella. You're telling me in 4 days nobody could provide an umbrella to us??
Onto the food.........overall the food was excellent. Hibachi was great and the buffet was amazing. The chefs and server were outstanding. The bartenders Johnny and Jonathan in the lobby bar are exceptional. They made the experience for us great.
Grounds were kept nice and there is always someone doing something to keep the place clean and presentable.
The Vibe team was very good. They were great with my 3- and 4-year-olds. They made sure they had fun which I appreciated.
The next-door Royalton Splash waterpark was great. Lots of fun and different areas for different ages. I would stay away from the Kid's Club. We thought it might be a place we could leave our 4-year-old for a little while. No way. The attendants seemed like they didn't want to be bothered and wouldn't even let kids play with some things for no apparent reason.
Overall, the experience was a good one. The biggest issue was guest services and housekeeping. If you ask for something basic, nobody seems to really care. Would I stay here again..........I don't know. Maybe. However, I wouldn't tell someone not to stay here as everyone can have different experiences.

Simply The Best

Not the Caribbean experience we wanted

so this was our first visit to the Caribbean and what we got was not really what we were expecting:
Hotel 4/5 - the hotel on first impressions is actually very nice - its well maintained and is very spacious with a nice lobby and grounds
Pools 2.5/5 - the pools need a little more maintenance - they have missing tiles and need to be cleaned more regularly - they have decent sunbeds and there is a choice of 2 pools
Rooms 4/5 - our room was lovely - the aircon was great and cleaning was good - the mini bar was sometimes filled and sometimes wasnt - what made it worse was everyday i left a tip in the fridge and they would take the tip and not replenish the fridge ?
beach 1/5 - this is where it was a let down - the beach is horrendous - with large grey sandbags the full length of the hotel - its an eye sore and an issues if anyone has mobility issues to get to the water -
hygiene 2/5 - another issue - we were a group of 13 and 9 were violently sick for 3 days each - the pool bar just swilling glasses and re filled them , blenders were left with either old cocktail mixes in or local water when making a new drink - the same tongs were used for cooked and uncooked meat - staff weren't always washing hands when serving - it was so bad we totally avoided the pool bar and mainly eaten bland foods to avoid any more sickness - the sickness was a definite issue - there were lots of people being ill and even the tui rep said its at a level now where there will be an investigation.
Staff - 2/5 - a small handful of staff were friendly - but most were just uninterested - i started the holiday off by tipping well - but soon realised they were just taken the money with no thanks and still the same miserable service, the beach bar staff would literally just stand there ignoring you until you shouted over to them, and then made it fell like you were putting them out.
Restaurants 2/5 - Teppanyaki was ok - hunters was inconsistent - Grazie was poor and Jade was awful - the staff were just rushing to get you out - the food was like microwavable meals - in one case they started bringing mains as we were eating starters then bringing dessert as we were eating mains - in the Italian we were a group of 6 and we had a 3 course meal and drinks in about 20 mins??
entertainment - 3/5 only really lasts for an hour and is ok - but not great - the white party was the best of the week - the day time activities are pretty poor
Tui - we complained to the Tui rep over the sickness and beach - to be fair they did nothing for us - but they had that many complaints we did see a slight change in behaviour for hygiene - they were enforcing alcohol gel more and using better glasses at the bars which i hopes reduces the sickness issue
Overall - 2/5 - beach was rubbish , hygiene a nightmare ,staff were uninterested, but the place looks lovely and we tried to make it as good as possible - would i return - never - would i recommend to a friend - No - But if you are already booked then you can make the best of a poor situation - if you haven't booked - then i would probably look elsewhere .

Royalton Punta Cana was the best!!!

It was such a great experience what made it more memorable was Juan at the Concierge. After we check-in he immediately greeted us and help us throughout the stay even after his time was done he continued to make sure our stay was a smooth process.

Terrible

We’ve just returned from Royalton Punta Cana and will never go back. Several of us became sick, and hygiene across the hotel is shocking. Rooms were poorly cleaned, our bathroom was dirty, and our room faced a noisy service road.
The pool was unsafe and dirty, my husband cut his foot on broken glass that was never cleaned up. The fire alarm in the room went off all night, and the beach was unusable, covered with sandbags. Service was terrible, the restaurant app rarely worked, and the management ignored all complaints.
We’ve visited the Dominican Republic many times and never seen such neglect. TUI and the hotel should be ashamed.

Unforgettable Stay at Royalton Punta Cana – Thank You, Johnny

We stayed at the Royalton Punta Cana during October half term (2 adults & 2 children) and had the most amazing holiday! We chose the Diamond Club with a swim-up room, and it truly exceeded our expectations – it was pure luxury from start to finish.
A huge part of what made our stay so special was our Diamond Club butler, Johnny. From the moment we arrived, Johnny went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He organised our check-in and check-out seamlessly, booked all our restaurant reservations, and kept us informed about the evening entertainment. But it was his friendly personality, professionalism, and genuine care that really stood out.
Johnny checked in with us each day to see how we were doing, always with a big smile and a solution before we even realised we needed one. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him — he made us feel like VIPs the entire time. Every holiday needs a Johnny!
The beach was stunning, and we loved being able to swim straight from our room right down to the sand. The Diamond Club private bar and weekly BBQ with live saxophone music were also highlights that added a touch of class to our stay.
We honestly can’t thank Johnny and the Royalton team enough for making our trip so memorable. We will definitely be back, and when we do — we’ll be requesting Johnny again!

Professional and knowledgeable staff.

Stopped by the Royalton on a business trip, shout-out to Johnny, Luis and Patricia for taking care of our large group of 65 people on the Diamond Club. Looking forward to visiting again, next time for vacation only ; )

Antonio “Banderas” the bartender was amazing!!!!!

The resort was beautiful and food was good. I think the food at the Royalton Chic was better. The one person that made a difference was at the Hideaway bar on the beach the bartender Antonio “Banderas”. He was such a beautiful soul. We would end our nights there talking about life, our family and kids. He always made us feel welcome and like family. You guys are lucky to have him as an employee. He’s been there 12 years and hopefully stays longer.

Excellent Holiday

I don't normally write reviews. However, this all inclusive holiday has been exceptional. The Royalton Punta Cana lives up to its 5 star rating. Our room is clean & comfortable. The food & drinks are excellent with much choice. Only the spaciality resutants have been slightly disappointing. The staff espacially Juan Cordero Dolci Rosa in Restaurant as well TUI Rep are polite & always helpful. The water park in adjacent hotel is great fun. Only a daytime kids club for our 21 month old is lacking. The glorouus weather has not been marred by showers as they cleared up quickly. We have been here 7 days & don't want remaining week to finish.

Great holiday

Great hotel complex, everything there you’d need on holiday. Evening entertainment was good. The food was as expected at the buffet. Naz our butler was lovely, checked on me and my daughter daily and was contactable via phone should we need anything. We had a wonderful waiter called Francescio too. All the staff acknowledged us.
Only thing I would say was the DC beach was a little cluttered with too many beds.
Myself and my daughter felt very safe and looked after at the Royalton Punta Cana & Casino

Huge thank you to Ronald who provided excellent concierge service. The room was amazing and we had a great stay in the adults only section.
