A Superb Resort Experience

Although we love México and are close to Baja California Sur, we'd never before visited Los Cabos. Our stay at Meliá's Paradisus Los Cabos has changed that; we expect to frequent the hotel & area regularly in the future.

One of the reasons we selected Paradisus was its "adults only" paradigm. It's not that we don't like kids; it's that we wanted a mature & quiet getaway. We certainly got that with these accommodations. From the reservation process (which we easily & cost-effectively completed ourselves on-line at Meliá's website) to arranging transport to & from the resort and to our entire experience, our entire vacation was relaxing & hassle-free.

Paradisus' staff is in the pampering business. Once we cleared customs at SJD, we barely touched our luggage again before boarding for our return flight. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were directed to the lobby bar for a refreshment before being escorted on a guided tour of the beautiful facility. All three levels of the main building provide beautiful views of the resort, the white-sand beach & the deep blue Sea of Cortez, and the public area accoutrements all are gorgeous. As "Reserve" guests, we were taken to a dedicated lounge while our bags were delivered to our suite, and the benefits, while dutifully explained, were so extensive, it was difficult keeping them straight.

Our dedicated concierge made sure we visited all of Paradisus' fine restaurants by first booking reservations for every night of our stay. Each was better than the last, but we particularly enjoyed the tenderloin at SAL Steak Cave, the gnocchi at Cappella and, especially, the duck confit at Santé; fresh fish lunches at Agua Marina also were noteworthy. Libations flowed freely at all of the resort's many bars, and the mocktails were as tasty as real drinks.

Part of the "Reserve" experience, our one-bedroom suite was well-apportioned & very comfortable but not so enticing as to keep us from exploring. The bathtub was nearly large enough for a water polo match, and the king-sized bed was dwarfed by the rest of the east-facing bedroom. Sunrise views were unmatched, and we enjoyed privacy throughout our stay. Housekeeping did a wonderful job, carefully arranging bedding, towels & living room cushions and re-stocking the two (!) mini-bars.

We enjoyed two off-site trips, one each to San Jose del Cabo's Chocolate Factory and city square area and to Cabo San Lucas' marina for Pacific Tours' two-bay luxury snorkeling trip. Both were exceptional -- with excellent tequila-tasting on the former and sea turtles & breaching humpback whales on the latter. Guides & support staff were as attentive & courteous as Meliá's staff at Paradisus. When we return, we hope to visit La Paz, which (we understand) is a 3-hour drive to the north.

There aren't words superlative enough to describe how relaxing & satisfying our visit to Paradisus was. We were made to feel like pampered family guests by the entire Meliá staff, and we wanted for nothing. We can't wait to return and visit our new friends in Baja California Sur.

Paradisus Las Cabos was AMAZING-best food at an AI we’ve experienced! 10/10

10/10!!! Our week at Paradis Los Cabos was fabulous. The property and service was excellent, especially John (sp?) at the Reserve pool and our concierge Adalberto! The food here was the VERY BEST we’ve experienced at an all-inclusive hotel. Every single meal (and the drinks) at Sante was incredible, the Mexican and Japanese restaurants were top-notch and Sal’s was also delicious. The resort and restaurants provided sweet surprises for the two in our party celebrating birthdays! We will definitely be back! My only disappointment is that we didn’t see any turtle eggs hatch, but that is clearly in mother nature’s hands❤️ We did see a whale breach from the pool deck one day!!!🐳

Fantastic Relaxing Stay at Paradisus

We spent 4 lovely October Nights at the Paradisus. The Reserve Club check-in process was smooth (if a little ambiguous over the actual order of check-in). But our Concierge, Carlos, was great in making the process as quick and smooth as possible. He made dinner reservations for us, checked in on us often, and did everything in his power to make our stay enjoyable. The 2-room Master Suite was fabulous; clean, spacious, and the air conditioning was refreshing. Our days were spent in the poolside covered cabanas, special thanks goes to Chief Carlos, in the cabana area, for helping us with the cabana reservation process. And our nights were spent at the on-site restaurants and bars. The meals at the outdoor Sante cafe were spectacular, including the steak, rack of lamb, and sole fillet. One night's dinner was provided at the Reserved Lounge, and supported by the staff from Sante, and this was very, very good. Fun presentations and delicious tastes. My only (minor) complaint would be that the standard house wine could use a little upgrade. Again, Special Thanks to Concierge Carlos, Cabana Chief Carlos, Sante poolside Waiter Jhan, Sante waiter Jesus, and evening Bartender Roberto for helping make our stay a memorable one! Thanks guys!

Paradisus Los Cabos. A nice hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and the people were very good at taking care of you. When you book at room with a King bed you should get that. Instead the say they can't guarantee a king bed and when you arrive they will try you upgrade you into a reserve room. It cost us another $650 for a room with a King bed. The room looks exactly like what I originally booked. It is rediculous that you can't book a room with a King bed unless you go to a reserve room. Either you have a room with a King bed or you don't. Let the customer decide what they want at the time of booking, rather than a surprise additional cost at check in. The reserve restaurant and the Asian one are the best in the hotel. The Asian one is very good. The others were average, so we ate in the Asa n one all week. We were also given a coupon book for our stay. We tried to use it at the Asian restaurant and they wouldn't accept it. When we checked out they were not easily prepared to just take care of the $7.50 charge for a beer....lol. Overall this is an excellent hotel and our trip was fantastic. The issues listed above can be easily resolved. For the price we paid, they should have taken care of those issues and made it an effortless experience. I felt it was expensive to stay here, but enjoyable as well. I would go back again.

Paradisus Adventure

The food in the hotel was okay. The staff were awesome. They were very attentive to what we needed. The steak restaurant was average at best, I am sorry to say. The Italian restaurant was not great either.

The best restaurant was the Mexican Restaurant. The food was awesome.

All three restaurants the staff were very nice and very respectful.

The reserve was the best part of the hotel. Seemed exclusive and worth the extra cost. I loved the blue cheese with the fresh sliced bread. The bartenders were amazing as well. They had binoculars so you can see the wild life in the water.

We were lucky to be there when they were releasing the baby turtles. What an experience to see that.

At one point on our stay there were some very obnoxious guests. They started screaming in the hall because it echoed. It was awesome to see one of the staff members not be afraid to tell them to stop. That made my night five star just for that.

Kevin, Carlos, Servando, and Roberto our butler were awesome. They were very attentive to our needs. Whenever we needed them they were there. The hotel is awesome. Servando always greeted us with a smile and you can tell he really enjoyed his job.

Jasmine at the beach was amazing. She also greeted you with a beautiful smile every time I saw her. She was very nice. I would go back to that hotel just for her. She provided an amazing service.

Overall not a five star hotel but a 4 star at best.

Relaxing honeymoon with great food and service

We had an excellent honeymoon at Paradisus Los Cabos. We booked a Reserve swim-up room through Costco Travel. Our experience was phenomenal from booking to checkout. The service and food were highlights. Staff were all friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The variety and quality of food was impressive-- we especially enjoyed Sante (Reserve only). The facilities were clean and well-kept. It was great having access to a swimmable beach.

Pricey and a bit of a con.

I was super excited to come to this resort. It was the first real relaxing holiday that my boyfriend and i had been on. Initially i was looking at the Riu's as I'd been there before and they are affordable. My boyfriend saw the ad for Paridisus and was sold. It was much more expensive ($7000 for 7 days) but he was paying so i gladly agreed. We booked a King room with an ocean view. When we arrived at the hotel, they informed us that they didn't have a king bed, but 2 double beds.. Some romantic holiday? lol.. My boyfriend said no. They told us the only king room that they had was no ocean view facing. Then they came up with this upgrade to Reserve which was $650 US more.. you got to visit a couple other restaurants, had another pool and had a personal concierge. He really wanted this to be a nice holiday so he agreed to the upgrade and paid. The room was beautiful as were the grounds. I was surprised that being all inclusive, there was no hard alcohol in the room. They had the basic minibar with beer , water and pop. My boyfriend drinks vodka and i drink wine. After several times asking the best room service could do was bring us 4 shots of vodka.. which i just put in one glass and stored in the fridge. I did receive one bottle of wine too.. We found the asian restaurant the best and visited it a few times during our stay. The first night when we went there for dinner, my boyfriend ordered a Sapporo beer which is a Japanese import and to my surprise was extra. When we upgraded, they gave us a coupon book for $30 off spa services and $15 off premium food/drinks.. So when he said the beer was $7.50 I said we have a coupon that will cover that and he wouldn't accept it.. Strange i thought.. Upon checking out, the guy at the desk told us we owed $7 something for the beer? My boyfriend brought up the fact we had the coupons and he said that you had to spend more than $15.. Now what is the difference if he had ordered one beer and gave them the coupon, or ordered 2 beers and only drank one using the coupon, wasting the other. I found that completely weird. Then when the manager came and he explained the situation, she said i had to go all the way back to the room to get the coupons for her to see.. ? After walking all the way back and getting them, she told my boyfriend to write an explanation of what went on, in order for her to comp the beer bill... Honestly? If you are thinking of this resort, the resort itself is nice. We just felt like we were put together from the beginning especially since the resort was maybe at 50% capacity.. We spent $8000 for 7 days in order to basically get a king bed with a view. And having to ask repeatedly for common things like wine and vodka when it's all inclusive i found troubling. The food was mediocre.. other than the sushi in the asian restaurant. I'd probably just stick with the Riu's..

Great couples trip!

Overall, our experience was great. Carlos was our concierge in the Reserve and he was fantastic! I would recommend ensuring an ocean view if you get a swim-up suite. But the pool and service was top-notch. There were good choices for restaurants, most we enjoyed. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this resort! If you are big on night life, there wasn't much to do. But if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation- this is your place.

Fantastic staff and resort

We stayed from 10/24-10/31/2025 and were celebrating a birthday on our trip. We have been to a few resorts in the past and this experience felt so special because the staff were incredible. We immediately felt like this resort was an improved experience upon our arrival because everyone was very helpful and friendly. We made a note to thank everyone specifically and the staff is one of the main reasons that we are planning to return (as soon as possible!). Our best experiences were with the following people but there were a few others who we just didn’t catch their name.

Pool Bar: Ricardo, Jesus, Irving were wonderful and so friendly every day.
Cielo: Antony and Eduardo made our dinners so fantastic and we loved their recommendations.
Pool Concierge: Kevin, Carlos, and Servando were amazing! They all personally made each day so special for us.
Entertainment: Miguel, Caesar, and Jesus made our trip so much fun! We aren’t usually regular participants in activities but they made the pool events very fun and engaging without making it feel like an obligation or taking over the entire area.
Pool service: Jackeline and Max were excellent.
Reserve Bar: Omar, Angel (also at pool bar), and Jorge (also at pool bar) were so friendly and attentive.
Coffee Shop: Omar and Anahi always greeted us with a smile and helped to start our days off great.
Baggage: Omar was so friendly and helpful.

Multiple people went out of their way to do something special for my wife’s birthday- singing happy birthday at the pool, personalized treats at the pool and dinner, and a special gift in the room! We also saw a few whales on the trip and participated a few times in turtle hatching and releases on the beach in the evening. We are already planning our return trip back to Paradisus and hope to see the friends we made on the staff soon!

Great experience

Just finished an amazing trip to Paradisus. Reserve Swim out room closest to the main pool was a perfect location - super close to everything and some built in shade. Everything was top notch, everyone was friendly, drinks were strong and customizable, and beds and cabanas were always available. We got a massage on the beach a few minutes down from the resort for cheaper than the spa rates. The beach had stronger waves but clear waters and fresh swimming.

Food standouts: tuna toscadas and elote at Aqua Marina, pork belly sandwich at Sante, curry chicken at Tokimeku, burnt ends taco at Sal. The ice cream and coffee bar always had delicious treats available.

Be sure to bring yetis/travel mugs to keep your drinks cold, and bug spray. We had a lot of mosquitoes where we were.

We did the free Reserve trip to San Jose, it was worth the visit to see something different. Also did the cooking class and tequila tasting, both were super fun. Saw whales in the distance and had a couple turtle releases.

Shoutout to Diego our concierge, who truly helped out with everything, Miguel the activities coordinator who kept things lively and Ricardo the bartender, who somehow was able to dig out grey goose wherever we found him!

We’ve been to 5+ all inclusives and this was one of the best. It was perfect low key with enough activities but not a mega resort. Would definitely come back.

100% Paradisus!!

This vacation was great. Paradisus is beautiful, very clean, super friendly staff. Make sure you stay in the Reserve area - the little bit of extra money is 1000 times worth it. There is nothing negative to say because the entire stay from the check-in process, spa, food, staff, drinks, beach chairs - everything was smooth and easy going. It was private and was NOT adult spring break!!
