Great service - lack some maintence

The hotel was fine with lots of options for kids. Highlight was for the services, both at spa and restaurant service was great.
Really appreciate Kendry’s attention and great service at Wok restaurant. Very attentive and friendly.
Attention point to the beach service! HORRIBLE ! We book a cabana and arrived to nobody there to serve and alll cabanas were dirty and infested with bugs!!! Insane to charge for it!

Take your money elsewhere!!!

From the moment I arrived, this stay was a nightmare. No welcome drink, no greeting just rushed straight to the front desk where I was aggressively upsold a swim-out room that had to be paid in cash. Then I was handed off to a concierge who tried to pressure me into a timeshare presentation. I told him I’d been traveling 13 hours with an overstimulated child and just wanted to rest, yet he kept pushing.

When I finally got to my room, the mini bar was empty. The food was mediocre, and the drinks were so watered down they tasted like virgin cocktails. The bathtub leaked all over the floor, the shower flooded the bathroom, and the mini bar was hot. Maintenance came, but somehow made it worse. No one ever followed up or cared to fix anything.

Throughout my stay, I was harassed by multiple timeshare salespeople at least four or five times. When I finally complained, a staff member pretended to “send an email” to fix things, but of course, nothing was done.

At checkout, the power went out for over two hours. We packed in the dark and heat because the air conditioning barely worked. Staff were rude, especially if you don’t speak Spanish, and they still expected tips for poor service.

As someone who’s worked in the hotel industry, this level of service is unacceptable. Just because it’s a family resort doesn’t mean guests should have to deal with filth, broken rooms, and pushy sales tactics. Being followed around the gift shop like a thief was the final straw.

Save your money this resort is not worth it. Definitely not comparable to Disney!

Would Not Recommend

Worse food at a resort we ever encountered!! Travel so much with r kids, & grandkids, that we thought this place wld b an awesome experience!! Kids for the most part enjoyed the characters, and the water park,(which was the best part for them. ) But rooms r old, air conditioning not up to par, even switched rooms, and was stilllll soooo Hot!! App didn’t work for reservations, which u had to do every day by 9am. Never got into the spacewalker restaurant, by 9am it was all booked,( which NO one cld explain, as I was on the app by 8:59 am!! Also NO food at main pool or beach!! Had to go back to the Buffett restaurant!! Ordered room service one day, it Never came!! Wld not recommend, as there r sooooo many other family resorts, with more kid activities than this one!!! Only seen SpongeBob 1 day, if u at pool, beach, or dinner, it’s possible u don’t see any characters(they only appear at certain times of the day, for a couple minutes.) Spend u money somewhere else!!

Poor Hotel do not recommend

This was our second time staying at this hotel, and unfortunately, it will be our last. The food and drinks across all the places we tried were very disappointing—barely a 1 or 2 out of 5. For a hotel of this level, that’s unacceptable.
There’s only one main place to have breakfast and lunch, and if you’re not at the water park, your only other option is Frescos, where the food is just as bad. For dinner, there’s a low-quality buffet and one or two à la carte restaurants, but again, the food barely reaches 2 stars.
On a positive note, I want to thank the staff for doing their best with what they have. They really try to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. A big shout-out to José at the big kids’ water park and Jean and Darlin from Aqua Nick’s park—you guys were amazing and made our stay feel like a real vacation.
To management: please make serious improvements to your food and beverage quality, or you’ll keep losing repeat guests like us.

the worst

This is the worst resort I've ever been to. Wow, I'm amazed by how bad the entire thing is. Food is disgusting, and the service is even worse. Don't waste your money; there are actually good hotels in Punta Cana that you can visit, but this one you must avoid.

Nice hotel without beach

4.5 of us were staying for 7 days, October 19-26; 4 adults and one 3 years old child. Hotel amenities, rooms, service, food and restaurants are exceeded our expectations. Friendly staff, worm pools, two aqua parks and cleaniness of the property is amazing. Many outdoor and indoor playgrounds for kids available. This is perfect 5 stars hotel.
The only reason I would rate it less is no access to the ocean. It is not about waves. Very strong current will wash you away in a matter of seconds. If you an average swimmer, most likely you have difficulties swim back to the shore. If you are below average swimmer, do not even go to the beach.
The swimmable area are about 2 km south of the hotel in a sandy bay, about 15-20 min walk. The bay is about 500 m wide.
In other words, restaurants, theme parks I have home. But travel 4000 km and wouldn't able to enjoy the ocean is disappointing.
