Why this resort should get 6 or 7 stars instead of the max 5…

William Gomez and his staff have made our last night at the resort unforgettable. In the restaurant L’Essence, we enjoyed a meal and wine that was truly amazing. The only thing better than the food and wine was the service, which has the perfect balance between fine dining and dominican warmth. People are all so sweet and warm, and truly invest in establishing a relationship. An example for all resorts worldwide. Thank you William, Miguel Angel, and all other wonderful people we met on this night (and all other nights) this evening was a perfect closure of an amazing holiday week. Staff, please keep this going forever

Excellent Time!

Another relaxing stay at our DR home, Majestic Mirage!

We were guests at the Majestic Mirage property from September 26 – October 3, 2025. This is our 4th consecutive year at this property and 5th at Majestic properties. There is something to be said about seeing many familiar faces with staffers and guests. We were greeted by our amazing butler Arturo, who we have had for each stay. We were also greeted by the assistant manager Yeimi during check-in. This kind of attention really makes this place feel like our DR home.

We got a swim up suite in building 4, near the swim up bar. Though further away from the lobby area, it is closer to the beach. Having a second restroom in this spacious suite is a nice added feature. This was the slow season so we had no issues getting Bali beds or loungers on the beach. Aside from our 1st two days after the storm, the seaweed was minimal and the beach was beautiful. Our typical daily routine was beach in the morning then pool in the afternoon. I can’t say enough good things about the community of guests near the building 4 swim up bar as we met people from all over the world. They all were just looking to have a great time! We saw a repeat guest that introduced us to mini beers a few years earlier and he brought us a round to welcome us back. We had fun taking Spanish and dance lessons during the day. We also enjoyed all of the evening entertainment and dancing that followed.

We thought the food was pretty good. Going to Seaside for lunch is a must as you have a beautiful view of the ocean while eating. We also enjoyed Seaside (shrimp tempura and lobster) and the Steakhouse (Short Rib and Grilled Salmon) for dinner. We regularly went to the coffee shop for a hot beverage and dessert.

All staffers that we encountered wanted to ensure that we had the best possible time at this property. We were always greeted with a smile and ‘Hola’. We mentioned to Elena, the Mirage manager, that she has a tremendous staff development and training program given the great treatment that we and other guests receive. A special shout out to:

It was nice for Elena to see us off as we left for home. We promised to come back next year. We look forward to visiting Majestic Mirage again and would recommend the resort to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing vacation experience.

Third visit to the Majestic Mirage

My wife and I and another couple just visited the Majestic Mirage for the 3rd time and again we all were extremely happy with our stay. We have stayed at all-inclusive hotels many times in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica including Iberostar, Secrets, Moon Palace, Excellence, as well as the Majestic Elegance. The Majestic Mirage continues to be a favorite. We continue to request to have Pablo as our butler. Pablo has always worked to make sure our stay is excellent and is just a genuinely nice person. The rooms are well appointed, spacious and we were again fortunate to have a room overlooking the pool. Thank you, Pablo! The property is well manicured; all amenities are situated so that they are easily accessible. The flow though out the property was well thought out in its design plan. Restaurants were nicely decorated. After stays at more than 12 all-inclusive hotels, many of which were a similar level to the Mirage, we found the food to be similar as well. You will also find high end alcohol throughout the property. The beach is easily accessible, in fact, just steps from exiting the pool and the Seaside restaurant. I much prefer this beach to any that I have visited in Mexico or Jamaica. The most important testimony I can give is that the Dominican people who by in large make up the staff that run this resort is truly what make this place special. To mention a few that made our visit wonderful; thanks to Lenet at pool concierge. Carlos at the Seaside restaurant, Pablo, (of course) and Marta, Guest Service Manager who took time out of her busy schedule to come to the lobby see us off and wish us safe travels back home. We will be back!

Fantastic

MY EXPERIENCE AT MAJESTIC MIRAGE

Michael our Butler was amazing. We dint have to look for him, he found us and catered to us every bit of the way. Michael let us know when he was working, and when he was leaving for the day. And he gave us a schedule of different things to do on the Resort. ASK FOR MICHAEL THE BUTLER when you visit 🙌🙌 the only thing I didn't appreciate was many people on the resort was acting as if they isn't speak English, and I later found out that they cannot work on the resorts unless they speak it. So DO NOT LET THEM TELL YOU THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND YOU.. BUT ALL ELSE WAS AMAZING.. I WOULD DEF VISIT AGAIN.

Beautiful resort for those without mobility issues

I recently stayed at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana with my elderly parents (ages 89 and 90), and while the resort is undoubtedly beautiful and offers many great amenities, our overall experience was impacted by several accessibility and service-related issues.

The Positives:
The grounds are stunning, and the restaurants we had the chance to visit served delicious food with a great variety of options.

The entertainment was decent—highlights included the circus show, which was truly enjoyable. However, I found the Michael Jackson tribute show underwhelming.

A standout during our stay was Dr. Ortiz, who responded immediately and provided excellent care when my father had a fall and required stitches. We are incredibly grateful for his professionalism and compassion.

The Challenges:
Unfortunately, the resort is not well-suited for guests with mobility issues. Despite our travel agent requesting a handicap-accessible room, we were placed on the second floor, far from the elevator. Our butler attempted to relocate us but was unsuccessful.

Due to the room's distance and the resort’s layout, I had to rely heavily on room service for my parents’ meals. On multiple occasions, the orders were incomplete or incorrect, even after being clearly repeated over the phone.

The lack of accessibility made it impossible for my parents to enjoy much of what the resort offers, which significantly limited the overall experience.

One aspect that felt uncomfortable was the constant expectation for tips, even after minor services. While we are always prepared to tip for good service, the atmosphere made it feel more obligatory than appreciated.

Final Thoughts:

While younger, more mobile travelers may have a fantastic time at Majestic Elegance and take full advantage of what the resort has to offer, I would not recommend it for elderly guests or anyone with mobility concerns. For the premium price point, I had hoped for an experience more aligned with the accessibility and service standards seen at comparable resorts we frequent like Sandals.

It’s a beautiful destination, but accessibility and service consistency need improvement to make it welcoming for all types of travelers.

Unforgettable holidays

Excellent atmosphere, beautiful and comfortable rooms, spectacular cleanliness, you can rest and have fun at the same time, super friendly hotel staff and make you enjoy all the services in a family atmosphere. Juan Bernardo in the pool area and Leonardo the butler excelled with their attentions and service.

Beach vendor problem solved

My friend had an issue getting a refund with a beach vendor. Without the help of Lloanni De La Cruz from Mariana ( shop on beach in front of Mirage ) who over heard the problem, and assisted with phone calls due to the language barrier. He had the beach vendor return and refund my friend. Lloanni went out of his way when he didn’t have to and it was much appreciated !

Our 7th Majestic Experience — and Once Again, Simply Amazing!

This was our 7th stay at a Majestic resort, and as always, they managed to make our vacation week absolutely extraordinary. What I love about Majestic Resorts is that no matter which property you choose, you always feel that the guest truly matters — everything is designed to create a memorable and worry-free stay.

This time we tried the Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, staying in the Mirage Club (adults-only section), and we were not disappointed at all. The managers were genuinely attentive and quick to respond to any questions or requests — you can tell they really care about their guests through their actions.

The property is stunning, with beautiful landscaping and five gorgeous pools (four adults-only and one family pool).
The food was excellent, especially at the à la carte restaurants. If you have the chance, I highly recommend the Mirage Club upgrade — it’s totally worth it! You’ll get:
👉 À la carte breakfasts and lunches in exclusive restaurants
👉 A private butler to assist you throughout your stay

We were lucky to have Francesca as our butler, and she was absolutely amazing — she treated us like family, always making sure we were comfortable and that all our requests were taken care of quickly and kindly.

Another huge highlight of our trip was the lobby bar team!
Juan, Joel, and Cesar were simply fantastic — they made us laugh all week long and ensured our glasses were never empty! There was also an incredible mixologist (whose name, unfortunately, I can’t recall) who made some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had. And let’s not forget Charly, the bartender at the Mirage Club pool bar, who was also amazing — friendly, fun, and professional.

In short, it was an unforgettable week filled with small thoughtful touches, a breathtaking room, great food, delicious drinks, and staff who clearly love what they do.

We highly recommend the Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, and we can’t wait to come back!

Decent restaurant, but BETTER SERVERS

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The atmosphere was beautiful and I had to waiters Victor and Yefrey. Out of all of the restaurants and waiters, they were the most energetic and exciting. They made the experience the best.
