Spoilt like a Queen
We spent 4 nights and we throroughly loved it: I was treated by the amazing staff like a Queen.I am greatful to Rene who prepared delicious healthy snaks and Alfredo who kept us active with his funciona Zumba sesiones.We will be back!

The room is disappointing. The door doesn’t lock properly, the screen door is broken, and the shower water isn’t even hot. The coffee machine is filthy.
The buffet food is decent and the staff are very friendly but there aren’t enough of them to keep things running smoothly. It’s advertised as all-inclusive, but it really isn’t. There’s a delivery fee for room service, and the café charges high prices. There are also “members-only” areas you can’t access, which makes the place feel cheap and restricted.
There’s no beach seating at all, which I’ve never seen before, even at budget resorts.
I came here mainly to surf, so at least the location works for that. Beyond that, this place is mediocre in every possible way.

3 Star at best
The property is not a 4.5 star and at most is a 3 star. Our room had moths that were killed and left on the ceiling, walls and patio door when we first checked in. There was only 1 working elevator to our room so if you have mobility issues with stairs it’s a problem. The food was hit or miss at the buffet with no bacon offered the entire week however sausages were offered 3 out of 7 days otherwise no bacon or sausage at breakfast. The resort is showing wear due to its age both in the rooms and pool. Entertainment staff go above and beyond and are very energetic and entertaining. The lady that seats you at the main buffet in the morning never has a smile and would rather you go somewhere else other than seating you. She was great at asking us to go to the snack bar or the other buffet rather than seating us. Unfortunately we will not return.

Quality people make this a sure bet!
We met Abelino at the buffet and he was tremendous. Very nice fellow. Top notch service! Highly recommended! Couple of tips for this resort: pool service is good. Don't stand in line at the pool bar - waste of time. Use the lobby bar - awesome service. Sushi bar service and chef are great. Chef at Rosalinos is a great guy. Fernanda (hostess) is amazing. If you are a hardworking, honest man, she would be a catch!

Irene, is the Chef at the pool snack bar. She is so awesome! Always a smile on her face, welcomes us every time we come and the food is really good. If there’s something there that’s not fresh she make sure to make to make it quickly and fresh as soon as possible. Love seeing her face in the morning and makes our day!
The entertainment staff! So sweet, so fun and they look like they love their job. Fernando, the entertainment director is just a really nice person. Always there listening for ideas want suggestions wants to know how to make the fun at the pool even better.
We will be returning in December with our son for Christmas, can’t wait to see what they have in store. Can’t wait to see our family at the GR Solaris. See you soon!

We have been at the GR Solaris multiple times. We’ve always enjoyed ourselves, but some of the employees that are there make our experience so much better. I’m going to start with our favorite bartender ever! Raffy ( Rafael) and the lighthouse bar is absolutely amazing! Always a smile when we’re up there always shows professionalism, and makes the most amazing martinis ever. He has fun with everybody he shows he loves his job and that makes us wanna keep going up there to visit him.Irene, is the Chef at the pool snack bar. She is so awesome!
