10/10 Amazing

Amazing hotel. It is a nice size to navigate around without getting lost but plenty of different areas from quiet pools to full entertainment areas to cater for everyone.
The staff could not do enough for you, so pleasant and attentive to your needs.
Food was fantastic, plenty of choice and speciality restaurants that you don’t need to reserve like a lot of all inclusives apart from the show cooking at the teppanyaki.
Entertainment staff were amazing keeping your days jam packed with activities, big shout out to Tania and Rovinson who were fantastic with our party of 8.
The location is next to a jungle so mosquitoes were about and we got a few bites but just make sure you take plenty of spray.
The beach was lovely but it did get some sargassum (seaweed) on a morning however this was cleaned up so not an issue.
Overall 10/10 for us and would love to return, this was made extra special by how friendly the staff were along with the variety of food and drink available, thank you Dreams Flora.

Perfect vacation

We just got home from an amazing week at this hotel,everything from check in to check out was perfect!! A huge thank you to our butler Alan. He certainly went above and beyond to make this vacation the best we’ve ever had ,you would ask him for something and it would be there immediately. He is one reason that this hotel is one of the best hotels we were at !the whole staff is amazing the breakfast waiters Michael and Milciades were so much fun at the Seaside Grill. Michael was a definite asset to this hotel. He kept us laughing the whole time !!!the resort itself is absolutely beautiful extremely clean everywhere you went the beach is beautiful Kelvin Bonnie and Melvin were there at every turn and made sure we had drinks and never waited for them. I recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a perfect vacation. we can’t wait to return and hopefully we can have Alan again for our butler. He really is amazing!!!

Our dream wedding at Dreams Flora 💕 - hasta la proxima!!

We had our wedding at Dreams Flora and it was everything we hoped for and more. The ceremony on the beach came out spectacularly; the view, the setup, and the atmosphere were absolutely perfect. Our reception was originally planned for the garden, but because of the rain, Eunice suggested moving it to the Blue Dorado. I trusted her expertise completely, and it turned out to be the best decision. The space was stunning, open, elegant, and honestly even better than our original plan.

Eunice was not just our wedding coordinator; she became a true friend. We bonded instantly, and she made me feel completely understood through every step of the process. She listened carefully, stayed calm under pressure, and handled every detail with grace and confidence. I could see how much she cared about not just the wedding, but us as people. Her warmth, professionalism, and heart are unmatched. I used to joke that she was my bridezilla because behind the scenes she was the one doing everything possible to make our vision come to life while I got to relax and enjoy my time at the resort. She is someone I will always remember, and I hope every bride is lucky enough to have a Eunice by their side.

The day of our wedding, I rented the bridal suite and it was perfect. All my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law got ready there. The room had a cozy sitting area, a full bathroom, fresh fruit, and champagne waiting for us. Next door was the beauty salon where we had our hair and makeup done. Jaury did mine, and she was absolutely wonderful—professional, kind, and so talented. She made me feel beautiful and calm, which is exactly what every bride needs on her wedding day.

We stayed in the Preferred Club, which gave us access to extra pools, cafés, and a personal butler named Atanasio. He was incredible and went above and beyond in every way. After I bleached my hair blonde, it turned a little green from the pool, something I had no idea could happen, and Atanasio actually left the resort to find a special shampoo for me to fix it. That kind of kindness and dedication truly made our stay unforgettable.

Dayana kept everyone entertained from day to night with her amazing energy, dancing, and fun vibes. She made every guest feel included and brought such a joyful, contagious spirit to the resort. She is such a beautiful person inside and out and made the whole experience even more special.
It honestly felt like staying in paradise. I wanted to get married somewhere surrounded by greenery and flowers, and Dreams Flora far exceeded my expectations. The lobby was breathtaking, the number of pools was incredible, and no matter where we went, there was always someone checking in to see if we needed anything. The service was excellent, and truly every single person we met was amazing. Special shout-out to Jorge from the spa, who always had a smile for us.

We stayed in a floor-level Master Suite, and it was a dream with two bathrooms, a huge bedroom, a spacious living and dining area, and just steps away from the beach and all the action. The food was incredible. Every night we tried a different restaurant, and every meal was delicious. During the day, there was nonstop entertainment, bars everywhere, great drinks, and even a water park with several huge slides that our wedding party loved.
Usually after dinner, we would head to the lobby bar where there was always live entertainment and then make our way to the club inside the resort to dance some more. Every night felt like a celebration, and we loved ending each evening surrounded by music and laughter.

Our entire week felt like a dream, and we cannot wait to go back. We already see Dreams Flora as our future family vacation destination.

Amazing Hotel

We spent 11 days at Dreams Flora and can Honestly say one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The staff are fantastic and friendly. In the restaurants by the pool and at the bars as soon as our glasses were empty we didn’t have to ask they magically appeared and refilled them. The layout of the Hotel is amazing and very clean. The food was Excellent. Best cakes at any hotel we’ve stayed at! I would highly recommend this Hotel. The Entertainment was Excellent. Live singers at the main bar from 19.00 to 20.45. Main show starts at 21.00.If you go to the Dominion Republic, try the hot chocolate! Best hot chocolate in the world.

First the pros: The pools and the beach were amazing, food was better than other Dreams resorts overall. Spa was very nice as well.

Cons: the service was pretty bad. Servers all seemed like they didn’t want to be there, some workers were plain rude. Several people working the buffet and restaurant could not answer basic questions like, “what dish is that?” We were preferred guests but did not feel like it. Nothing special for 2 anniversaries in our group. They wanted us to download WhatsApp to communicate with our butler, which we were not able to do due to lack of cell service needed to sign up, so when we needed assistance we went to the preferred lounge for help and were told to no longer come there, but to get help through our butler, who we had no way of reaching.
The drinks are sloppy across the board and not good, and obviously all watered down but that’s generally true for all the Dreams resorts and well known.
We had 3 rooms that all had issues. Two with bad mosquitos, one with a bathroom door that would lock people in, one with a phone that didn’t work, and one where the a/c didn’t work.
We were traveling with a baby, and at times my husband and I would have to take turns staying in our room while he slept. They would not let us bring food back to our room from the buffet or any other restaurant on the property, our only option was room service, which seems like a pointless rule that really interfered with our enjoyment.

Definitely would not return, have had better experiences overall at other Dreams resorts.

Many Gems...

This was the second time we have been to Dreams Flora and again it did not disappoint. While this is not the most luxurious resort in terms of rooms, it is very clean and well maintained. The resort and its flora is beautiful. So many staff members made the trip memorable. We had a toddler with us as well and they went out of their way to make sure he was happy and engaged.

Wander and Wayler (Go Yankees!) in the main pool bar were so much fun and provided awesome service. They were interactive with all, whether an adult or children. Andres (aka Chocolate) and the activities team made the afternoons and evenings a blast (and they remembered all of our names). He always had a smile on his face and made sure we were happy.

Enzo and Jose at the Mix provided our family with a special drink arrangement. Really made us feel special and was a nice surprise. Also, do not remember his name at Showtime but he went out of his to make sure we were able to watch the Monday Night Football game (even though it was not shown on the TVs in the bar).

The food was above average in most cases and there is enough variety that won't disappoint. The resort is such a fun place, whether you are with kids, single or your spouse. The real gems are the staff who make us once again look forward to going back.

Winter sun from the UK

What a beautiful hotel and grounds, really well kept.
If you go look out for Paula in the main bar she is awesome!
Really clean and modern rooms, buffet is really good and the specialist restaurants are very good.
Sometimes a little limited for vegetarians.
Beach is really clean and the hotel keep on top of the sea weed.
Just watch out for the traders, they are friendly but relentless.

Not great. Underwhelming.

If you’re expecting a true 5*, look elsewhere. We’ve travelled a lot, and this was one of the weakest “5-star” experiences we’ve had. It wasn’t terrible, but we definitely wouldn’t return.

From start to finish, there were several issues. Watch out for the VIP reps near reception — one was especially rude, repeatedly asking “why?” when we told him we didnt know if we would be going to a meeting he was trying to get us to attend at 4pm regarding the Hyatt hotels.

The buffet food was average, and breakfast was cold if you went early. The restaurants were much better. Our room was properly cleaned only twice during our 7-night stay, our bedding wasnt even changed. They changed the towels nearly everyday, but gave us a dirty towel on one occasion. Essentials like milk weren’t replaced unless we caught someone with one of the trolleys outside the room and asked. Service improved for the final 2 days, only after we complained to a staff member on the beach. If you don’t pay to upgrade to the preferred members, expect minimal.

Some staff were friendly, but others were rude, and it often felt like you had to tip to get served at the bars on a normal first come first serve basis. On our last day, we asked to extend checkout to 2pm and were told it would cost $40 — and after getting my card, was told no, cash only. When we didn’t have dollars as I explained we had used them all, they refused other currencies, so i told them to forget it.

The beach was nice and Andy, the guy you book excursions with was lovely.

Overall, disappointing for the price. I’m giving 3 stars — not awful, but definitely not 5-star service or value.

Dreams Flora Holiday Experience

Our time at dreams flora resort and spa was amazing! We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing holiday to celebrate with! The food, entertainment, drinks and atmosphere were incredible ! The hotel itself had so much hidden detail with a beautiful tropical theme. We couldn’t praise the staff enough for just being so helpful and making our holiday so special and memorable. Our butler (Will) went above and beyond the whole time we were there and we got so lucky to have an amazing ‘friend’ to show us around and he always had time to talk and take time out of his day for us! Also the bar staff around the Rendezvous bar also made our holiday so special too! (Jeancarlos, Illiander, Eddy, Sandy)

Amazing staff!!!

My aunt and I stayed at this beautiful resort from October 8 to October 15. We did choose the preferred club, which was amazing. We ended up getting Alan as our butler, and he was truly amazing. If you can choose someone choose him he definitely went above and beyond even finding us on the beach one day just to make sure everything was going well for us!! The grounds themselves are beautiful, very well kept and I feel that all the food that we ate was delicious, we only ate at the buffet one time for breakfast but opted for the preferred breakfast because the view is so amazing from there, look for Michael andMilciades at the Seaside Grill or preferred breakfast. They are amazing, Michael definitely went above and beyond to make us smile every single morning!! The beach itself was also beautiful. We definitely lucked out with the seaweed because there was really hardly anything there, the weight staff there also made our stay the best, huge shout out to Bonni and Melvin. They took great care of us not to mention the pool concierge Kelvin. He waited on us from the pool to the beach, That’s how nice these people are!! Everything at this resort went so super smooth from start to finish and I would 100% recommend coming here! Can’t say enough about the staff they truly made our vacation Amazing!! can’t thank Alan enough for taking such greatcare of us , will definitely ask for him as our butler again because we will definitely be returning!!

Gorgeous hotel

Just returned from an 11 night stay. We travelled with our 8.5 month old and had a preferred club swim out room. Our butler Willy was amazing and was always there to help us. The resort itself is more beautiful than we imagined. The food was great and PC was definitely worth the extra money in our opinion. The food options were great and not having to make reservations was perfect for us with our little one.

The staff work so hard and we had a fantastic time.

Weather was perfect too! Would return :)

Wonderful Resort

We went there for a family wedding and the resort did a fantastic job and everything seem to be done with great pride.

Dreams Flora - Punta Cana - choosing to celebrate my 50th with them and what happened..

⭐ Dreams Flora Resort – Mixed Experience (Pre- and Post-Travel Review)
Pre-Travel (Written 11 October 2025)

I’ve stayed with Dreams Resorts before, including in the Dominican Republic, and have always had great experiences — which makes this situation all the more disappointing.

I’m due to stay at Dreams Flora soon and have contacted the resort on four separate occasions with a simple request: that our room comes with two queen beds instead of one king. I initially made this request at the time of booking (back in March) and followed up multiple times — most recently in October, the same month as our stay.

As of today, I’ve still not received a single acknowledgment or reply from the hotel — not even a basic confirmation that the request is being looked into.

I sincerely hope this lack of communication is not a sign of things to come, as I’m celebrating my 50th birthday on this trip with a longtime school friend.

I’ll be posting a second review after the holiday, and I truly hope I’ll be able to report a much better experience once we arrive. So far though, I would suggest not to raise your hopes when making contact via email — as the service is very poor and could vastly be improved!

Post-Travel (October 2025)

Unfortunately, the disappointment continued on arrival. At check-in, my travel companion and I were left waiting over two hours for our room, eventually gaining access after 6:30 p.m. (rooms are vacated from 12 p.m.). The front desk advised that the room — which was supposedly ready — needed cleaning. Understandable, but given the turnaround time, this should have been completed much earlier. Another couple with two young children faced the same issue that day. Not a great start.

Once we finally got into our room, I was pleased to find it clean, well-presented, and comfortable. The layout with two sinks, a separate WC, and sliding doors was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable, the minibar was fully stocked, and water was replenished daily. I particularly appreciated the workstation with plenty of power points, and the large TV. The balcony was on the smaller side, but the view was lovely. Dreams might consider adding mosquito netting to the balcony doors — it would be great to enjoy the sea breeze without worrying about bites.

Service overall was good, with special recognition for Edwin at Patio 2 Bar and Marolyn at the World Café — both went above and beyond, showing genuine warmth and enthusiasm. Vanessa and the entertainment crew also did a fantastic job. However, I was disappointed by Katherine at the front desk, whose curt attitude left a negative impression. When I requested a late checkout (given our delayed check-in), I was surprised to find her unwilling to accommodate even a 1:00 p.m. extension — instead, she “negotiated” a 12:30 p.m. checkout. After celebrating a milestone birthday and waking early for a beach run, that extra time would have been a small but meaningful gesture.

The food was a little hit-and-miss. I enjoyed the Japanese restaurant and the lively entertainment it offered, as well as the dessert selection in the World Café and the excellent breakfast choices. However, some menu items lacked balance — for example, one slice of pizza was absolutely doused in chilies (a light sprinkling would’ve been plenty!).

Overall, I’ve visited Dreams Resorts for nearly ten years — from Punta Cana to Mexico and Europe. The gym here is fantastic, and the resort itself has a lot of potential. But the poor communication before arrival, delayed room access, and lack of flexibility or warmth from some staff really detracted from what should have been a special 50th birthday celebration.

Dreams Flora could easily be on par with the brand’s other properties if they paid closer attention to detail and staff attitude at the front desk.

Lastly, I’ll say this: guests shouldn’t be concerned with how many people a resort needs to serve — our concern is simply getting the experience we’ve paid for. If you can’t manage large numbers effectively, then focus on fewer guests and deliver the exceptional service Dreams is known for.

Mostly Good with some Dark Clouds

Hot and humid but smiles everywhere.

My family and I just finished a 7 day stay at Dreams Flora if the preferred family suite. The weather wasn’t great, a lot of rain, but we knew what we were getting into booking in the shoulder season. The staff were mostly amazing though and made even the rainy periods entertaining for our family.

PROs
Rendezvous Bar in the main lobby is blessed to have Paola as one of their waitresses. Her smile and personality were infectious and made us want to come back every night, on top of the entertainment. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND introducing me to one of chefs at the World Cafe, Edy. He made me an authentic Dominican Republic dish that made me think the man should have his own restaurant. I wish I had seen him one more time to thank him again! It was amazing! ..the hot sauce alone….Wow!
Luis, one of their servers at World Cafe was another bright spot. He always had smiles and was friendly to our family, always. He deserves credit for his hard work.
Lastly I have to thank our house keeper Josepha! There was a language barrier but you could feel her warmth not only in our interactions but the pride she had in her work. My family was travelling with an older family member who can be very picky and even that family member raved about Josepha.

Cons
My family and I paid for preferred status but didn’t always feel it.
One day coming to Portofino there was a downpour that we were caught in. Instead of helping us out we were given a hard time and turned away by the manager because we were soaked. No attempt to accommodate. We didn’t make a big deal and just left. Later on we saw the same gentleman at the Seaside grill. He gave us horrible service and didn’t even make eye contact. It was uncalled for and screamed that he had a chip on his shoulder.
The last true ‘complaint’ I had was when we left. I tipped that baggage handlers 5 USD. After thanking me he turned to his partner and spoke in Spanish that “it would have been better if it was ten dollars.” Disrespectful to say the least and is making me think I’ll try other resorts before I go back to Dreams Flora.

Regardless thank you to those at Dreams Flora who made my families stay a better one. If it wasn’t for them my families stay wouldn’t have been nearly as good.
