Spa day

Fantastic holiday. Great spa day. Facilities where Amazing, hydro therapy, steam room sauna lovely pool.
I had a massage off Rocio zentropia I would recommend. Feeling fantastic, it was a mix of deep tissue and Swedish and acupressure.
Very strong lady pressure was spot on.

TRS was good but George our butler made our stay!

We enjoyed our honeymoon at TRS — the grounds are absolutely beautiful and exactly what we pictured. Unfortunately our stay was marred by a frustrating check-in experience: an employee named Erik gave us misleading information about upgrade pricing, and we ended up paying a steep fee under the impression it was for a better room. It later turned out that wasn’t the case. We’re not sure whether this was a language misunderstanding or something else, but it left a bad first impression. Thankfully Delta Vacations stepped in and resolved the issue so we could finally start our honeymoon on a positive note.

Besides this being our honeymoon the highlight of our trip was our butler, George. He was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond — greeting us with a smile, checking in to make sure everything was perfect, and even arranging thoughtful touches like rose petals and chocolate-covered strawberries. George truly made us feel special and is the main reason we’d consider returning.

The pools are stunning, the bartenders were excellent, and the all-inclusive food was what you’d expect. Gaucho, the steakhouse, was our favorite — the steaks were so good we went twice — and the upgraded lobster dinner was worth it. We also loved the Chic Cabernet event for the quality of the food and the dancers, though we did leave a bit hungry, so if you’re a foodie like us, consider grabbing some appetizers before the show.

A couple practical tips: there were a fair number of mosquitoes, so bring bug spray. If you plan to go excursions, bring water shoes, a sun shirt, and a dry bag!

In short: beautiful property and outstanding service from select staff (especially George), but be cautious and double-check upgrade/pricing details at check-in.

Amazing resort highly recommend

We went for our nephews wedding so we didn't know what to expect. We had a wonderful time. The resort is beautiful. Everything is thought of to ensure you have a wonderful time. Our butlers Maggie and Alexis were amazing. They were very attentive and made sure we had all our favorite drinks and treats in our room. They responded to our text messages immediately. Every staff member made us feel at home always went out of their way to make sure our needs were meet. We will definitely return and tell our friends and family members.

Do not recommend

There were many conflicts that occurred during my stay. All of which were never resolved and made for a bad experience.

I came to TRS to celebrate me and my wife’s honeymoon. I was searching for quite some time before finalizing my decision and one of the selling points to me was the “$600 resort credit” that was listed on Apple Vacations website. There were similar resorts with very competitive pricing and attractions but I figured this $600 would be nice to splurge on me and my wife’s honeymoon. 

We arrived to the resort and were told that we could not use that $600 as it is not a thing anymore, we were told that it stopped 4 months ago. Then the check in process felt way more like a sales pitch as the gentleman told us about what we can get instead of that, not offering any proper resolution or grace that we chose this hotel exclusively for that offering. This was not a great experience at all to begin with, however it only got worse. He then told us we should buy the PTC travel upgrade and told us that it is 500 dollars and include the following: a Mayan tour that would take place on Saturday at 11:30, entrance into Chic, 2 lobsters, and Exclusive Beach access with special carts that have sun tan lotion. 

After going back and forth about the price, after being told we are not getting any credit it was exhausting to hear we now should give you more money. He really didn’t want to take no for an answer, we eventually caved and said yes. With the thought that now we have some things that we can treat ourselves with. 

After this, promises continued to be broken. First with our Concierge/PTC Rep Sergio. He met us and told us we will go over all the benefits tomorrow at 11:30am and he will meet us at the desk. We arrived that next day at 11:25, early and excited to hear about how we can use these benefits. He was late, showing up at 11:45 after his coworker had to call him when we asked around. He then took us over to another resort and mentioned someone will be right with us, time was now noon. We waited for another hour and 45 minutes and no one came. We had plans that afternoon and had to leave, wasting over 2+ hours we were frustrated again. 

We then got a message on Friday from our butler that the Mayan tour was going to be Sunday at 8:30am. I was shocked because we cannot attend that time due to our flight home leaving that day. We asked about the Saturday option and got no response. Super frustrating.

Earlier that week we were told from our butler while making reservations for restaurants that we could just walk into Chic and didn’t need a reservation. We showed up on Friday (Halloween) to attend the Chic show and was told to get in we need to buy a bottle of expensive wine or Liquor. We told the person that we were supposed to have Chic included in our purchase that we made and she said we should have gotten reservations and that she would get a manager. We waited 50 minutes and no one returned to assist or inform us. So wasted another 1 1/2 hour along with now being stranded without dinner plans since all restaurants required reservations. This really messed up our plans for the weekend and it just kept adding up to be more problems.

That Friday night at a buffet after being forgotten about at Chic, my wife contacted the reservation WhatsApp contact and discussed with them about making reservations and they had no reply after we asked if there was availability on Saturday.

The next afternoon we asked our butler how we get the reservation and he was able to assist us but the time for the show didn’t work for our schedule so we couldn’t even attend. We also asked him if Chic served the lobster and he told us no. And that we would need a 24hr in advance reservation to get the lobster. It was Saturday at 1- we left the next day. There is no way to get the lobster.

Most of the week we used the TRS beach area and they had sunscreen out for public use, making these “special carts” on the PTC areas not so special.

Amazing Experience

Our trip was absolutely phenomenal. The services at this resort were incredible, the butlers were so nice and helpful. The food and drinks were delicious. The pools were super clean and spacious. There was live music here and there and even at Halloween they had a big event for it and it was super cool. Everything we needed was given to us and we did not want to leave. It was our third anniversary and multiple times throughout the trip our room got decorated and our table got decorated at dinner time.

TRS Yucatán is clean, great rooms, very kind and helpful staff everywhere you go.

The staff are very friendly the spa is top notch. Roses and Elana give great 80 minute massages. Also Alicia and Mirian gave excellent massages as well. The food is good some better than others depending on your likes and dislikes. I do wish the buffet food was hotter. Bartenders are very knowledgeable. The Butlers are very attentive and prompt on requests.

Candy Shots🍬 🍫 🍭

Argelia Uitzil, the bartender at the Terrace pool, was great! She's such a tiny little person but full of so much personality! I had one of her specialty shots, called Mexican candy 🍬. I love it!

Best Upgrade Ever!

Initially booked at White Sands but got upgraded to TSR adults only!! Fantastic room, beautiful infinity pool, amazing exclusive restaurants-never busy and excellent food. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The resort was very clean and grounds were kept tidy despite being surrounded with lots of jungle and nature. The more natural feel of the resort was bonus feature for us! Overall couldn't have asked for a better trip!
