Erasmo the great

Great place to stay .Clean with nice rooms and good food. Close to anything you might want to eat or buy. Favorite part of the trip was Erasmo he knew is drinks and menu and always with a smile. I highly recommend this area and this resort save your money and take advantage of the food at the resort.

WORST All Inclusive Experience

This was one of the worst hotel stays / all inclusive experiences I've ever had. The staff were unhelpful - the "all inclusive" was not actually all inclusive and there were so many limitations to our experience. Further we were treated poorly at the other Hilton property and there were so many logistics around going there and accessing those amenities. I would not recommend ANYONE go here. Rooms were poor quality - toilet was clogged and did not get repaired quickly, food at the rooftop was very bad. Drinks were watered down too.

Beautiful Architecture, Outstanding Staff, but Dining and Comfort Could Be Improved.

We stayed at the Tapestry by Hilton Yucatan and were impressed by the stunning architecture. The staff is absolutely outstanding, with a special shoutout to Cezar, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.

The food at Sakura restaurant is delicious, but the “all-inclusive” package is misleading—it’s more of a full-board option with a very basic minibar. The dining options are quite limited. The Sakura restaurant is only available four days a week, while the à la carte restaurant has a repetitive menu that isn’t particularly impressive. Although the buffet was offered twice during our stay and was excellent, it’s disappointing that this isn’t a regular option.

As for the rooms, they are spacious, but the air conditioning is noisy, and the soundproofing could be much better.

Overall, the hotel has great potential, but there’s room for improvement to meet the standards one would expect from a Hilton property.

Amazing!!

My family and I loved the all inclusive experience! The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly! A special shout out to the server who spoke Mayan with us!!! We are looking forward to book for next year! It was a great stay to welcome the New Year 2025!

Very confused resort, but can't complain

Most all-inclusive resorts are in an isolated area where you're expected to stay the entire time. Those resorts have multiple restaurants to give you a sense of variety, and also a variety of activities to keep you from getting bored.

This is a hotel in a downtown area that serves as a springboard for exploring elsewhere. Play Del Carmen has a tourist street full of bars/restaurants, a ferry to Cozumel, and a bus to Tulum. You'll constantly be tempted to wander off the resort, and if I stayed on-property for more than 24 hours, I would start to get bored.

There are only two restaurants: a breakfast place on the ground floor, and a place on the rooftop that does lunch/dinner while doubling as the pool bar. The food quality at these restaurants is a little hit-or-miss, but generally pretty good. If you tip the staff, the service gets elevated from good to stellar. The only complaint is that it's one restaurant with a small menu that gets repetitive.

There is also a little coffee nook that I appreciated; it had a self-serve coffee machine and finger sandwiches. Room service is also included in the all-inclusive rate, but the quality of that food is terrible. The hamburger gave me flashbacks of my high school cafeteria, and the fajitas were the worst Mexican food I've had in my entire life (yes, worse than Taco Bell). Even then, you can't deny that free room service offers some value.

Which brings us to the question of value. This is a clean, modern hotel that was built to resort standards - when you walk around, it's clear that you're on vacation. The rooms are large and chic. The location is pretty ideal; you're by the best beach clubs and also the tourist street, but it's also quiet. Walking to the ferry or the bus terminal on the other end of town is about a 20-30 minute walk (but that side of town is way too busy for my taste).

I was traveling solo, but noticed that if I booked a reservation with double-occupancy, they would have charged $50/night more. $50 per person per night does feel like the right price for the all inclusive aspect of this resort, as that seems to be the going rate in the tourist areas for one nice meal and a couple of drinks. I generally found myself elsewhere at lunch time, as I was too busy exploring.

The one pool is photogenic, but it's somewhat small and there's only enough seating around it for about 10-20 people. It was obviously not designed for guests to lounge there all day everyday. It's just another case of them offering an amenity to say they have it, they offer free access it it, but it is actually limited by your own boredom.

The one day, I did pay $75/day for a daypass to the Hilton. That is a true all-inclusive resort where it is impossible to go hungry or thirsty, has a lot more energy, and has beachfront access. I recommend you use this for one day, as there's only so much gluttony you can subject your body to. $75 is a fair upcharge for what it provides.

All in all, this place gets my thumbs up. The hotel itself is great. I think marketing it as an all inclusive resort leads to disappointment. Set your expectations accordingly, and accept you'll occasionally want to eat/drink/explore elsewhere for the sake of variety.

Was a wonderful Vacation

My granddaughter and I spent 10 all inclusive days at this beautiful resort, to celebrate her 20th birthday. We found it in the perfect location for shopping , stepping out the door right onto 5th Ave. Within walking distance to supermarkets and to public beaches. Anything and everything we needed. Did a few awesome tours from the hotel as well with Paul from MTS. The staff really do make this place incredible. They are there to make your stay memorable. To name one, Daniel was most attentive, very informative, helpful. Made us feel so welcomed, we knew we had someone to count on if need be. To all the restaurant staff who were very creative in singing to My granddaughter on her birthday. We loved it. It’s a super clean smaller resort, but with that comes more personal touches and unforgettable acquaintances. We would highly recommend.

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD - THIS IS NOT A RESORT

DO NOT BOOK THIS RESORT IF YOU WANT AN ALL-INCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE! I use the term RESORT very loosely because this is basically just a regular hotel. This is my first ever review of a hotel because I had to give people a warning of just how terrible our stay was. Some of the photos on the website are not even at this location... they are at the sister location down the street. It says multiple restaurants but it's bascially just a space behind the front desk where you can eat breakfast and dinner, same menu every day, options limited and 5/10 quality meals. They also told us kitchen is open until 10 and drinks until 11 but they packed up the alcohol at 10:30 and told us they would not bring it back out for us. The only other place serving food is the rooftop bar but expect that to be closed if it rains (which it did). When you walk in it's just the front desk, a space to eat and a self serve coffee machine. Reaching out to corporate for a discount. We had 4 rooms booked in our group and NONE of them had hot water FREEZING TEMPS. One of our rooms had no AC and they offered my party a new room, but told them they had to pack up all of their things in the middle of the night and bring it over to the other room, even though my guest was injured and was not able to do it. They give you an all inclusive wrist band and tell you if you lose it and need to replace it it's $100, same rule for the towel cards... The TV next to the desk shows you photos of the beach, and a full service pool with cabanas but they are not on site and the beach is a 5-10 minute walk, you can't even enter the sister resort without paying $75 per person PER DAY, and when I called to book nobody even told me the amenities were off site or offered the upgrade. When I asked "does the booking of the room ensure ALL ACCESS to ALL INCLUSIVE amenities listed" and they said yes. The shuttle they booked for us from the hotel to the airport was the worst experience I have ever had as a passenger the driver was reckless, fast and we were genuinely afraid we would not make it to the airport. TOTAL FALSE ADVERTISING. The fancy spa and gym are not even on site which nobody told me. When I told the front desk my frustration the employee was not surprised he said "we don't get nearly as many complaints as we should" he was expecting me to say something when I approached him. The best they could do for us was give us a $10 discount on day passes to the sister resort down the street which are only from 9-6, and most dinner places don't open until 6- I booked this for my sister's bachelorette party and all 9 of us checked the website, each one of us was SHOCKED when we walked in. My sister's special weekend that she will only get to experience once was completely ruined.

Bring your own pool lounge chair.

A lot of people are extremely selfish by leaving their hotel beach towels on the lounge chairs by the main pool all night.They think that entitles them to that chair for the duration of their stay. I checked with front desk and they informed me that it is first come first serve for lounge chairs. Somebody is going to be disappointed tomorrow morning or afternoon because that’s when most of these self absorbed people showed up if at all.

Double standard

This place is not for straight men I got kick out after the first night for anonymous complaint they provided me zero details I barely spoke to anyone they knock on my room in the middle of night told me I have to leave because someone made a complaint .
I notice I was not treated the same mainly because of my sexual orientation .
I come first served last I really didn't like the vibe at all the message was clear this place is not for you and your not welcome.
i should of read more comment on this hotel because many dos bring this topics .

Food poisoning

The hotel was ok. The toilet in the room kept backing up, with no plunger in the room. The food at the restaurants were just warm not hot. We tried room service, and the food didn't come any hotter. We then decided to try the sushi restaurant at the hotel. We all got food poisoning from the sushi. Told the front desk and didn't get any compensation for this. We were all very sick from this. When checking out and told them this, the front desk guy said to me "oh that's good" ...No this was not good.. suggest going to any other hotel.. Do not go to this hotel

Awful experience

On arrival the room was clean but we noticed the toilet roll holder was broken, the rail in the shower was hanging off and the bathroom tap was so loose it was difficult to use. We reported this to reception the same day.
The next day the tap was tightened but in the wrong place so it wouldn’t go fully cold. We managed to adjust this ourselves. The other issues were not rectified. The reception phoned the room and asked if everything was repaired. We told him it wasn’t and he replied, “excellent!”
A couple of days later the flush on the toilet stopped working. We reported this and were told that evening it had been fixed. It stopped working after a few flushes and the shower hardly had any water and it was cold.
We again reported this to reception and asked for a room change but was told there wasn’t another room available. They did promise to repair everything.
That evening the shower was repaired but the toilet still didn’t work. We reported this again and at 10:30pm had an engineer come who repaired the toilet.
On the final day the toilet stopped working again and we found we had cockroaches in the bathroom as well. The toilet roll holder and shower rail were never repaired.

The restaurant staff were always friendly but the food was cold. It was cooked on the ground floor and served outside on the 4th floor so was never hot.

We had a day of inclusive plus which allowed us to use the facilities in their other hotel in Playa de Carmen. We were told we needed to go to reception at our hotel at 9am to get a wristband and then we were fine to go to the other hotel. We did this but when we got to the other hotel we were turned away and told we needed our passports which our hotel hadn’t mentioned. The reception at the other hotel told us it was a frequent occurrence. They said they weren’t surprised as our hotel was closing in 2 months.

We booked a 5 star Hilton hotel as we trusted the brand would deliver high standards at all their hotels. Unfortunately this hotel was nowhere near the standard we hoped for. It tainted the trip which we had been looking forward to for sometime. We don’t feel the accommodation warranted the amount we paid for it.

Felt like family.

I arrived after an 8 hour trip and was greeted at reception with a big smile from Paola. She was very friendly and full of positive energy.

After checking in and giving me the local information, Paula let me know that breakfast was about to end, so I went to the dining area unfortunately, to be told that breakfast was over. Paula came in and spoke with the chef, and luckily they were able to make me a tasty breakfast to get me started for the day.

I enjoyed the rooftop pool, it is not very deep but long enough to swim lengths.

The back door conveniently opens directly onto 5th Avenue, but as I go to sleep early, I asked for a quiet room and was given a corner room, overlooking a quiet residential street. Perfect.

My second morning, I arrived earlier for breakfast and enjoyed the french toast dressed up like a waffle, which was like cheating and eating dessert for breakfast! Next was a Mexican style omelette which was also delicious.

The building has an eclectic mix of art and design and has what looks like an antique canoe about twenty feet long hanging off one wall, it was interesting to walk around the building. They also had 4 or 5 bicycles, which appeared to be available for use by guests.

Check out was with the always pleasant and smiling Paola.

I would happily return here again.

Very Unpleasant Stay at Hilton

Just to Share My Terrible Stay Experience

Dirty Bedding: I was exhausted and just wanted to crash, but as soon as I pulled back the sheets, I spotted visible stains on the bedding—disgusting! Basic hygiene shouldn’t be too much to ask for, especially at a Hilton.

Faulty Toilet: The toilet barely flushed—water pressure was so weak that it took multiple attempts, and the tank took over four minutes to refill. Maintenance came by, shrugged it off, and told us to "just wait for it to fill up" after each flush. Seriously?

They initially promised a room change if the toilet issue wasn’t fixed, but when we followed up, they suddenly claimed it was "already resolved" and refused to move us. The attitude shift was frustrating and dismissive.

On the check out day, the front desk insisted I hadn’t paid—even though my booking was prepaid. Two staff members argued with me until I showed them the confirmation. Not the stress I needed before a flight!

The hotel management doesn’t even care about your stay experience and won’t even respond to your complaints.
Anyway, definitely not the level of service I expected from a Hilton. Won’t be staying here again.

Gaslighting over the Pool Bar!

The hotel is beautiful and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful -- except about the pool bar. Upon our arrival, we were disappointed to learn that the restaurant was only open for breakfast and the bar beside the rooftop pool had been closed for months. We would not have booked this hotel if we'd known that.

The room was spacious and clean, although dimly lit. It desperately needed a floor lamp by the sofa. There was a coffee pot -- but no mugs. No tumblers in the bathroom. There was an ice bucket, but we had to take it to the lobby so the clerk could hack chunks of ice from the restaurant freezer.

On our last day, a small army of staff suddenly stocked the poolside bar with alcohol and glasses. Food arrived from the closed (?) restaurant, and employees took Insta-worthy photos. Someone handed us a menu and said we could order drinks and snacks from noon to 10 pm. We asked, Since when? Every day, she said. Thirty minutes later, they packed up all the alcohol and food and everyone disappeared. No drinks or snacks for us!

My husband inquired at the front desk. Oh, that was just a test, we were told. Tomorrow -- for sure -- the bar would be open noon to 10pm. Unfortunately, we departed that morning so this Nancy Drew was unable to solve The Mystery of the Pool Bar.

Wonderful stay in the heart of PDC

We had a wonderful time at the resort. It felt like we had the entire property to ourselves, making for a relaxing time at the pool. The location is ideal, as you can jump right onto Quinta Ave or a quick walk to the beach.

Our only con would be the loud music at night in the courtyard. We felt like it was right outside our door. But if you’re up for partying, maybe this is a pro! We were just tired and wanted to retire early.

Other than that, we appreciated the attentive staff and the comfort of this beautiful resort.

Great atmosphere!
