A blissful 10-day vacation

We just came back from a 10-day stay at Sun Palace - our happy place where my husband and I could fully relax, recharge, and reconnect. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made us feel welcomed. This time we paid a bit more for the honeymoon suite and it's definitely worth it! The room and the balcony are so spacious with a fabulous view of the ocean.

We were blessed with beautiful weather and many unforgettable moments: mama turtles coming ashore to lay her eggs, and baby turtles hatching right outside the beach at Sun Palace—pure magic! Kudos to Palace Foundation for their efforts in saving these precious and endangered turtles! And since we visited during whale shark season, we had the once-in-a-lifetime experience of swimming alongside these gentle ocean giants. It was awe-inspiring!

Great Vacation with great workers at the hotel

We came for our Anniversary and my Birthday celebration. Yes the hotel is very nice and clean. Foods Was great especially the people was very nice and accommodating. All questions asked was answered with respect and smiley face. I would come back here with my own whole Family. And he Thai restaurant was clean and nice atmosphere. Our servers Gabriela and Ms. Lady were very nice and friendly. Thank you Sun Palace!!! We will surely be back…pS. Shout out to our room cleaning lady Ms. Hilda. Thank you

Cancun 2025

As always, this was a great place to stay! The friendly staff makes it feel like a home away from home! From Estrella greeting us for breakfast to the entertainment staff at the pool (Pedro, Jesus, Jonathan, Merlina) to my boys at the Lobby Bar (Miguel and Filamon) our family trip was spectacular!!!

Our family birthday dinner at the Thai Restaurant was exceptional. Angel and Gabrielle made it truly memorable.

The best service ever! Very personal and attentive. Food was awesome! Highly recommend this restaurant . You won’t be disappointed.

SO amazing. Great staff and entertainment.

The staff at this resort are amazing! So friendly and energetic. Always a smile everywhere you go. They always try to remember your names and even your orders. We had an amazing time celebrating our honeymoon here at Sun Palace. Always very clean and neat. Their staff is always ready to offer you a drink or snack or help with anything. The entertainment staff made our week with their fun energy and enthusiasm! The sweet and coffee shop staff were so sweet and friendly! We loved getting to say hi every morning and throughout the day. We enjoyed every second and will miss the staff as much as the resort itself!

Successful wedding anniversary trip

Returning to Sun Palace felt akin to a homecoming. The exceptional service, warm Mexican hospitality, and adult-only tranquility render it challenging to contemplate vacationing elsewhere. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless; Guadelupe facilitated a hassle-free check-in, and Hugo's welcome drinks established a tone for a relaxing stay. The recently renovated resort maintains a fresh and inviting ambiance. We spent most of our time on the stunning beach, soaking in the waves and enjoying lunch by the shore. The seafood pizza crafted by Chef Elios was a standout, and the beach service was top-notch; immense gratitude is owed to Orlando, Sylvio, Enedino, Daniel, Elizabeth, and especially Manuel for their attentive care.
Sun Palace offers four distinct dining experiences:
Thai Restaurant, an intimate and flavorful venue, with drinks prepared by Elias, service provided by Steven, and Chef Angel's personalized dishes; Captain Judit ensured the satisfaction of all guests.
Trattoria, the Italian restaurant, delivered first-class service, thanks to Adrian; the lamb shank and pistachio cannoli prepared by Monica were unforgettable.
Aurora, the Mexican restaurant, impressed, with culinary expertise provided by Chefs Orlando, Isaak, and Javier; Efrain was always prepared to assist, and Daniela was consistently helpful every morning. Aime and Cristina are highly skilled dessert chefs, and Hostess Sharon consistently exudes pleasantness.
Fuego, the Steakhouse, offered Caribbean views and bold flavors; Renan's leadership ensured a seamless experience.
Each restaurant boasted its unique vibe, rendering every meal a distinct experience.
The lobby bar served as our go-to spot following beach days; bartenders Mario, Hugo, Franco, and Rosalia created memorable moments with their energy and craft. Karina was exceptionally attentive, and it was delightful to reunite with her. One minor suggestion: during live music performances, the volume of the football games broadcast on the big TV could be adjusted to preserve the ambiance.
The Coffee shop is an extraordinary venue, offering sweet treats and phenomenal Mexican chocolates; Eric prepares exceptional pancakes. Noteworthy individuals from the coffee shop include Yuzi, Gabriel, and Valeria. Lifeguards Daniel and Mariano are consistently on duty at the beach, eagerly assisting all guests.
Several novel features are present throughout the resort, including TV screens in elevators displaying information about nighttime activities, a screen showcasing options at the coffee shop, the absence of chalkboards, sitting stations adjacent to elevators, and green plants in hallways. Extra towels are readily available by the beach, and new paper dispensers and flowers adorn the public restrooms. New concrete steps adorned with cedar stars lead to the beach.
Now, permit me to elaborate on the room; 90% of the resort's rooms boast an ocean view, with variations in room and balcony size. The rooms feature distinct amenities; however, I was disappointed by the low-quality coffee makers in the most basic room. Considering the prices guests pay to stay, it is reasonable to expect higher-quality coffee makers in all rooms across the resort.
We attended the Mexican wine tasting, where Ale, the Sun Palace sommelier, excelled. We gained insight into novel wine regions in Mexico and savored small bites crafted by Chef Orlando. I highly recommend participating in this event, which can be paid for using resort credits.
I extend gratitude to Consuelo and Senior Ismael for their assistance.
The Spa and hydrotherapy are always great to visit. Both are very well maintained and comfortable.
I appreciate the new GM, Heriberto Cota, taking the time to greet us.
Sun Palace continues to surpass expectations, delivering a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement, whether lounging by the beach, indulging in gourmet meals, or connecting with fellow guests over a game of pool.

Lovely place, staff, food and drink. A must go destination.

Awesome relaxing experience, beautiful location and amazing service. Staff is always looking after you, very friendly and proud. There is not a single item that was not perfect. The hospitality was above and beyond any expectation. Special shout out to Juan Guinto, which took great care of us on every opportunity, going truly above and beyond. It is a must visit destination where lovely people will be happy to have you, along with great amenities, food and drinks.

Amazingly relaxing mani & pedi

I just had a deluxe manicure and pedicure at Su Palace. Adilene & Citlali were absolutely wonderful. Beautiful work, they were very friendly, very helpful. Everything was excellent. Can’t recommend these ladies enough!

Wonderful stay at Sun Palace

We absolutely loved our stay at Sun Palace! Our room was beautiful, spotless, and had incredible ocean views. The housekeeping staff kept everything immaculate, and the lobby was stunning with plenty of comfortable seating areas.

The Sweet & Coffee Bar was quick and convenient, and the resort app made everything easy, especially the chat feature for any room requests or help with reservations.

The food was excellent throughout the resort. Aurora offered great buffet options with fresh selections; I especially enjoyed the omelets and tacos. The Thai restaurant was my favorite, our waitress, Gabriella, was fantastic and very attentive to a food allergy at our table. The desserts at Trattoria were delicious, and Fuego had the best breakfast. Kevin at Fuego provided wonderful service, and the French toast and avocado toast from room service were both amazing.

The pool staff was outstanding. We spent most of our time at the activities pool, and Jesus, Melina, and Pedro made everything fun and engaging. In the evenings, we enjoyed visiting The Bar, where Miguel crafted delicious drinks with creative presentation.

Every part of our stay from the food and service to the views and atmospher was exceptional. We can’t wait to return!

Second stay just as good as the first

Just finished our second vacation at Sun Palace and enjoyed it just as much as the first. I can see why so many people keep coming back. The resort itself is a perfect size for us with everything within short walking distance, pool, beach, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, gym and lobby.

You have the option for quiet relaxation at one pool or if you want entertainment go to the party pool. Jesus, Pedro and Melina were great. Very fun and entertaining. Filiman kept us well hydrated and taken care of poolside always smiling and working hard. Then the beach is a short walk down the steps.

The food was amazing every night. Thai was my favorite w Gabrielle doing an amazing job both nights. Kevin at Fuego was great having solid recommendations that didn’t disappoint. I forgot to compliment the chefs while there but they definitely need a shout out as well. Each and every dish we had was above par.

Music and entertainment at night at the bar was always a good time. Miguel makes a great drink and isn’t a bad entertainer when he needs to step in and sing.

So many staff members I can’t remember but they all made our stay perfect. They all do an amazing job.

Pamper yourself & re-charge your batteries!

We love everything about Sun Palace! That’s why we return every chance we get. We feel pampered and well taken care of! This trip we were joined by our friends who had a wonderful time, as well.

Señoritas in the Sun(Palace) Family Girls Trip to Sun Palace

Wonderful week in paradise at Sun Palace. Sisters-in-law and adult daughters trip was wonderful. There were 7 of us and we had a great time. We spent a lot of time at the activity pool. Games were fun, water aerobics was great. Entertainment staff Jesus, Jonathan and Pedro kept things lively. The shows were good: Disco dancing/singing show was really fun, light show was cool, the mentalist was really neat, The Jersey Boys singers were really good and Karaoke was great. Our favorite pool waiter Filemon was always going above and beyond. Great service and always a friendly smile. Shots were delicious - strawberry cheesecake - soooo good. Restaurants: Trattoria - lasagna, gnocchi, soup, desserts. Loved Fuego - potato leaves, tomato soup, salmon, steak, s’more dessert, goat cheese cheesecake. Loved the breakfast at Fuego also - the croque madame is amazing. Thai was good - the bao, sushi rolls, chicken fried rice, wagyu beef entree were spectacular. Special dinner at Aurora-waiters Eduardo & Alfredo were wonderful. Short rib was delicious. Breakfast buffet was full of delicious options. We spent a day at The Grande at the adult pool - Unique. Dinner at Momo at Sunrise at Moon Palace. Catamaran to Isla Mujeres, arranged through the resort was a really fun day. Spa was great - Holistic, Aromatherapeutic, exfoliation treatment was amazing!! I highly recommend it. A wonderful week at Sun Palace!

Four days but wanted more days!

My wife and I spent 4 glorious days at Sun Palace and were very impressed! There are many detailed reviews here so I'll just mention a few highlights. Firstly, the food! We love good food and often find ourselves disappointed by some of the dishes when dining out, even at "fine dining" restaurants. As such, we assumed that an all-inclusive that produces such large volumes and breadth of food would inevitably come up short a lot of the time. Nope - not here. The first time we went to the breakfast buffet we were blown away not only by the selection but mostly by the quality and elegance of what was on offer. The lunch buffet was the same. And our dinners? There was one dish my wife ordered that was a little clumsy and undistinguished but that was it. Given how discerning she can be, this is almost miraculous. Huge shout out to all the culinary folks here, as well as to all the attentive and friendly servers. First class all around.
Secondly - the staff. Everyone we encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant staff, beach and pool folks, entertainment coordinators, housekeeping, bell boys - you name it - all were warm, welcoming and professional. Such hard-working people who make this place classy and elegant, yet somehow feeling personal and intimate. I can see why many people come back year after year.
Finally, a special shout out to Jessica, who works on the team managing resort memberships. Not being Palace members, we knew we would be approached to purchase a package, and we also knew that we weren't financially in a position to do so at this time. Although Jessica apprised us of the benefits of said package very persuasively and professionally (to the point where we complimented her sales acumen) she also was gracious and respectful when we had to firmly decline. A class act all the way, and she turned what could have been an uncomfortable and negative encounter into a good memory which, ultimately, was a much better sales pitch for the resort.
My wife and I travel quite a bit but haven't been away without our kids for many years now. We were really looking forward to spending some time together, and the folks at Sun Palace made it truly exceptional.

We love Sun Palace!

We have been to Sun Palace several times and love coming back every single time. Our group doesn’t drink, but we love a good mocktail and their bartenders we’re always so excited to make us surprise mocktail drinks.

We had a fantastic experience with Javier from LeBlanc PVP (5 stars for him).

We LOVE the spa! Monica at Sun Palace gave an incredible massage. Estela at the spa front desk as well as Beatriz and Valeria made a special heart of roses for us on the massage tables since we were celebrating marriage. So sweet! Rosivet in Hydrotherapy at Moon Palace Grand Spa gave us a little surprise head massage while we relaxed on the warm beds.

Trattoria: We had a group of 15 for dinner and Miriam (greeter/manager) at Trattoria made it happen! She also worked with Adrian, Able, and Raul to create a lovely experience. They set the table with rose pedal hearts. So special!

Aurora and Room Service: Judit in Aurora was such a sweet manager and communicator. We had special requests for our group of 15 and she coordinated it all and made it happen! She also worked with the chefs Michel, Fernando, Elios, and Eduardo and Cinthia in RR-SS for special charcuterie boards and fruit to be brought to our room. So sweet! Thank you to this team!

Fuego: Loved the new menu! Thank you to Efrain, Javier, and Jorge for a lovely Fuego breakfast! :)

Aurora Dinner: Gerardo was a fun server. Great dinner!

Thai: We always love Thai. It was especially great to have the private room on the end for our group of 7 one night.

The group at Sweet and Coffee is always so kind and helpful. They remember our drinks, names, and room numbers. Shoutout to the best team: Eliseo, Valeria, Ariadna, Yzui, Eric, and Gabriel.

Great food/drinks, clean, and friendly staff

My husband and I spent an amazing 5 days at Sun Palace. The staff, food, and overall ambiance were amazing! What stood out to us the most, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and attentive. I want to share a special thank you to the following staff members that made our experience extra special, I wish I could name more because so many of them stood out to us. We will be back! :)

The entertainment: Jonathan was an absolute BLAST. Huge shoutout to him for his sense or humor and natural way of engaging with the guests. Pedro was great as well!

Bartenders/staff: Mario and Miguel at the bar were so friendly and made incredible drinks! Elizabeth by the pool was very attentive and friendly as well.

Great Vacation!

Spent a very relaxing week at the Sun Palace for the last 7 days. From our concierge to sommelier to every server the service was outstanding. The beach was gorgeous and the pools at a perfect temperature. Breakfast at Aurora was as good as ever and our server Juan Guinto, the happiest man alive was spot on. We look forward to our trips to the Palace resorts, and this one was a needed break. Our transportation to and from was timely and impeccably neat and clean. We look forward to our next rip to Le Blanc Cabo in January.
