Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort is located in beautiful Playa Mujeres, complete with famous white sandy beaches and stunning ocean views in a privileged gated community. This brand new, adults-only, all-suite resort is only 35 minutes from the Cancun International Airport and 10 minutes from downtown Cancun, adjacent to an 18-hole signature golf course and in close proximity to some of the best golf courses, shopping centers, beachfront restaurants and nightlife in the area.  

This Unlimited-Luxury resort welcomes its guests with an elevated club house with spectacular views of the ocean and just steps away from some of the resort's gourmet restaurants, fitness center and spa. Open-air spaces make it ideal to enjoy the warm ocean breeze. It features a protected mangrove located between the reception area and the main pool section where some of the region's flowers and birds can be seen and photographed.  

When it's time unwind, visit the Secrets Spa by Pevonia and choose from a selection of some of the most relaxing and results-driven treatments available. Guests can find the perfect spa products in the charming boutique to continue enjoying the results back at home and extend its beneficial effects.

Relaxing Vacation

We had a fantastic time here. We stayed in a preferred room and enjoyed breakfast at Oceana. We ate at all the restaurants,food was good. Louis was our favorite waiter . A very special thank you to chief concierge Diego Rivera and the preferred club staff who were there when we needed them. Pool consigners Martha,Alex and Jamie did a great job keeping seats available.

We enjoyed our week! Had a wonderful experience and would return and perhaps try a different Secrets

The staff are what make this resort. They are all so friendly and fun. The entertainment team especially Fernanda who made my birthday extra special are wonderful. Shout out to Memo Jesus Juan and all the countless others who made our week by the pool so much fun. The waitresses by the pool and beach are wonderful and work really hard. Great service by Eugenia, Jasmine ,Rosa ,Katie and the countless others and all the staff in the restaurants especially David Seaside Grill, Louis , Philippe too many to count all wonderful people! The food was good and plentiful. The rooms could use new pillows and a general upgrade. The furniture in the Rendezvous at the pool was very uncomfortable and we did not find enough seating outside at night unless you went by golf cart up to restaurant area. The pool furniture and beach furniture also needs an upgrade and more of it. Unless you arrived at the pool or beach before 7 -730 you could not find seating. The beach needs washrooms closer by and a bigger shaded bar area and more chairs and umbrellas. The beach is beautiful. Made our stay memorable. I am not sure Iwould return to this resort but would definitely visit this area again.

Great Hospitality

Beautiful resort with breathtaking beaches. Food was good. My only complaint was there was no alcohol serves until 10am. We missed having our morning mimosa with breakfast. Hospitality was great. Especially, Memo who did water aerobics and bracelet making. He was so friendly and went out of his way to get to know people. Always professional and has a smile on his face.

About to be newly renovated!

Had a great experience! We went right before they are closing to renovate. You would never know they were about to close by the attentiveness of the staff. They were first rate! The food was excellent for an all inclusive. Loved their beach and pools. I am excited to go back after their renovations.

*Very poor. My pregnant wife and I were treated like second-class guests. Staff called us the wrong name all week, denied service, and ignored us while helping others. The front desk gave no support, and the bellhop made us carry our own bags, nearly missing our shuttle.**

Great week spent at resort.

My fiancé and I had a great experience visiting this resort. Loved their pools and beach. The food was excellent for an all inclusive. Our room was very nice, spacious and clean with a nice jacuzzi we enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. You have the ability to visit the resort Dreams next door, all inclusive as well. Dinner at some of the restaurants there were just as good. Water slide was fun. We would certainly go back or try visiting other Secrets resort.

Great resort if you are looking for a more relaxed vacation. Beach is amazing, Food is great!

Without doubt the resort is in need of a few upgrades only based on age but the overall appearance and cleanliness of the resort is great as expected. The pool is nice with lots of seating all around as long as you are up early to reserve a chair. Service around the pool is also great for both drinks and food service.
The beach is amazing in this area which is why we continue to go back. One issue is the lack of beach chairs for the Secrets side of the resort so be prepared to get up early.
The food was 10/10 for every restaurant so no issues there and you will not go hungry.
Overall we had a very good experience at this resort and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet vacation. If you are looking for a fun pool side entertainment or evening you likely will find this a little too relaxed.
Our only negative would be the sharing of the resort facilities with the Dreams guests next door. It makes it difficult to get in to some of restaurants or even pool/beach chairs. We didn't realize that Dreams guests could use the facilities at Secrets and because Secrets is a smaller resort it can become quite crowded very quickly.

Not the best, but still great!

This was our 6th visit and we celebrated our 40th Anniversary with a 2-week stay. We were aware that this resort would be closing in a few weeks for a major remodel, but hoped to get the same great service we had come to appreciate here at SPM.

It started off a little slow. Occupancy was down and more restaurants were closed than usual. However, after a few days, things were definitely busy and the staff was hopping. More restaurants open, but generally a 45 min wait unless you went right at 6pm. We had a hard time planning a nice anniversary dinner without paying an exorbitant amount of money.

The chair wars were in full swing, but the pool concierge group did their best on clearing empty chairs for those that actually wanted to use them. Thankful for Martha, Alejandro & Jessica!

The servers at the pool were outstanding, like usual! My favorite smiles were Delmi, Katia, Karen, Jazmine , Diana & Edher. Everyone works so hard!

Can’t forget to mention my favorite person at the Market Breakfast Buffet. He’s been serving us since 2019! Luis is always so happy, remembers everything, and works his tail off!

Felix from the entertainment team was awesome! He was so friendly and cheerful doing the bracelet and batting cage!

He makes me want to come back!

The food here was also spectacular! All restaurants here served amazing food! 😀

Room service was also such a surprising experience! So friendly!

Nice voice for a relaxing vacation

The resort was well kept and nicely laid out. Food was good in each of the restaurants we tried. Beach could use more chairs. Not a lot of nightlife or entertainment, so a good pick if you’re looking for a relaxing stay. Use of Dreams next door was a plus, for restaurants and entertainment.

Pure Paradise!!!

We have been to this resort 5 times now and it never disappoints! We continue to share this resort with family and friends. As UVC members we love to share this beautiful resort with others! The food, drinks, and entertainment were top notch! Couldn't ask for a better week in paradise with great friends!

Look for better options for good service.

Check in/ check out staff working together is nonexistent. Francisco with the check out staff double charged me because he didn’t believe my room was already paid for although I provided my check out slip and showed him on my credit card app. Called me a liar and wouldn’t allow me on my transport to the airport until I allowed him to run my card again after his several demands.

Resort is dated.
Plan to check out other inclusives.

Beautiful but Slightly Disappointing

My husband and I just went here for our anniversary trip. Overall we had a wonderful time but there were definitely some areas of disappointment. Food ranges from bad to decent to very good. The OCEANA restaurant was wonderful and delicious! However Portofino and Seaside Grill were disappointing. Bread was stale, pasta was flavorless, calamari wasn't edible. etc. Also if you're wanting GOOD cocktails -- like specialty cocktails -- this is not the spot. Most bartenders did not have the knowledge on how to make cocktails, and if they did -- they weren't very good. Drinks are watered down. We ended up sticking to wine and beer. Overall the staff is extremely accommodating and pleasant. Alejandro helped us get Bali Beds by the pool (HIGHLY RECOMMEND - IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY) and a dinner reservation at a spot that booked up fast. He was wonderful. April was the perfect time of year to go because the weather was fantastic!! Warm enough to walk around in a bikini but cool enough that you're not sweating. Overall we had a wonderful time but we won't go back. However they're about to do an 8-month renovation so a lot of things could change.

Such a beautiful resort with exceptional service!

Secrets Playa Mujeres is a spectacular resort! My husband and I spent a week in April and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The food was delicious - our favorite restaurants were Bordeaux and Portofino and we also loved being able to go over to Dreams next door for the Mediterranean restaurant there. The grounds were clean and beautiful, the beach was very walkable and clean and the entertainment was great as well. The best however was the staff who provided exceptional service in the restaurants and especially poolside and the cleaning staff does an amazing job. Highly recommend this resort!

Amazing stay!

Amazing experience! Bartender Francisco was our favorite. Felix, Juan, Carlos, Felix and Sebastian went above and beyond our entire stay. They made our trip even better than we could’ve imagined and we made friends for life. Will definitely be retuning.

Good but lacking

Resort was beautiful and had an amazing view from our room. Only issue was that we weren’t notified about the closing of the resort leading up to our last day. Staff numbers were low along with restaurant options being closed. Not the staff’s fault but it would have been nice to know upon booking months ago that our dates were leading into this time. The last two days of our stay, we definitely had to compromise on drink/food options without having to be forced to leave the adults only resort for the family Dreams next door. I would say in a different timeframe, this stay would have been amazing.

Amazing Wedding and Vacation

We went to Secrets Playa Mujeres with a big group of family and friends for our wedding and we all had an amazing time. We particularly want to shout out Iridian, our wedding planner, as she ensured our wedding went flawlessly. She was so helpful and friendly through what some might say can be a stressful process, but she was so knowledgeable. She was also our day of coordinator and she ensured everything ran smoothly!
Our stay at the resort itself was no different. Everything was clean and all staff were attentive. Everyone was so energetic and it made for a fun experience for everyone when it came to activities around the beach and pool. We also enjoyed all the food and drinks! While the desserts were a little lacking, they made it up with delicious appetizers and entrees. There is no lack of variety during your stay there.
Highly recommend coming for your next vacation! We all felt we needed more time there!

Another great trip

They out did themselves once again. This was our fourth trip to this resort and have already booked 3 more trips once renovations are done. The staff here is amazing. I have a health condition that limits my ability to eat everything and I require certain foods. They went out of their way to accommodate me with every meal. We even had a waiter, Artemio at Portofino, that remembered us and all my restrictions and made sure I had a perfect dinner every night. The staff at Oceana was amazing. Flor, Citlali, J. Luis, Zoradya, Alex and David took care of us everyday for breakfast and lunch. I hope they all come back after the remodel. The pool concierges, Marta and Jessica, we’re always there to help and find us an open chair. This is an amazing resort and can’t wait to see it next February.
