We also had great attention from Maria and Moises in the RE office. They took care of all of our requests quickly.
The resort is beautiful! But the staff is what makes us come back year after year. Adios! We can’t wait to come back!
Love Sandos Playacar!
Another fabulous vacation at Sandos Playacar. Seeing Jose and Miriam at the Avenue Bar every evening before dinner is the highlight of our trip. I would be so disappointed not to see them here.We also had great attention from Maria and Moises in the RE office. They took care of all of our requests quickly.
The resort is beautiful! But the staff is what makes us come back year after year. Adios! We can’t wait to come back!

Staff was ALL so amazing!
Ten days that were pure magic. Everyone was so kind & helpful & always made us feel special. Avenue bar Mariam & Jose’ are the best! Enrique with Royal elite was so helpful & so friendly! Can’t wait to return! Beautiful place!

Missing the best waitress there ever was, YESSI come back!
Missing the best waitress. Yessi always went above and beyond never leaving our cups empty EVER! She should have never been moved and needs to come back to the adults select pool/RE bar/pool. She is missed by many who come here on a yearly basis!

The food has improved significantly since last year, especially in the buffet. There is a new chef, and you can tell. We ate in the three restaurants that were open most nights. Food arrived hot, which didn't happen last year. The last night of our stay we reserved the wine room in Gourmex with Maria. Teo (wine sommelier) helped us select two bottles of wine that everyone in our group enjoyed. Pedro (maitre d) and Johnny (waiter) took excellent care of us. It was a fantastic way to end our trip. Everyone agreed we will reserve the wine room again when we return next year.
The pools were the perfect temperature. It was nice not having to get up extra early to get a bed at the pool or beach. Foam party at the adult pool on Saturday was a lot of fun.
What always makes our stay so enjoyable is the staff. Cecy at the RE adult pool is wonderful. Just wish she or Yessi could be there each day. These two ladies are so attentive and take excellent care of the members. It's unfortunate they have to also cover the beach which is expansive. We also miss Alfredo at the RE family pool. The RE family pool needs Alfredo back behind the bar. Miriam and Jose in the Avenue Bar also know how to take care of the members. Aerolino is the person to see about massages. He has strong fingers to get out the toughest knots. These employees are always at the top of our list. They know exactly what we want even before we do. Hope they will stay or return to the RE locations next October.
At the top of the list is Maria with RE customer relations. She contacted me two weeks before we arrived to see if there was anything we needed. Upon arrival Maria found all of us to check in and see how our stay was going. She assisted all eight of us with redeeming our Sandos4U points, checking dining reservations, room issues if any, and booking reservations for next year. How she knows everyone's names on the first day is incredible. She is a definite asset to Royal Elite and needs to stay forever.
It was a great stay, and we are glad to see things have improved from a few years ago, especially in the food department. There are a lot of rumors circulating about the status of buildings one and two. I would hope management would enlighten the members as to the ongoing plans for these buildings and elsewhere in the resort.

Great Stay
We've been members since 2008 and just returned from our annual stay. This year was much better than previous years. The beach is still the absolute best around. The weather was wonderful and no sargassum, which enabled us to enjoy the ocean. We booked a hacienda junior room this year, which was perfect for the two of us. (We still prefer being oceanfront in building 1 or 2. But the elevators in those buildings have been taken out and hot water still seems to be an issue.) 5th ave bar service
José and Miriam have made our stay at Sandos memorable. Their service and friendship at 5th avenue bar throughout our stay has been wonderful and enhanced our experience. We look forward to seeing them during future viixts to Sandos plays car!
