Poolside chess

First day here and staff really friendly, sat by the pool and Christopher the chess master came and offered a game of chess, he absolutely destroyed me 3 games to nil but was so much fun and he was so nice 5 stars

Aqua fit was fun

What a resort!!

Royalton was outstanding..love the vybz by the pool and the different activities that the vybz team put together for us .. the food is at the caribbean was really nice they dealt with us efficiently. Shout out to jameel from the gym with the killer bootcamp classes and aquafit.

Birthday holiday in Antigua/Royalton

Good customer service all around,especially a staff called Vanessa who went that extra mile .
My experience was very straight forward and stress free.
Bearing in mind the air plane journey was 11 hours and we were all very tired.
The food and choices are excellent and tasty for everyone around the hotel.
The Ice cream choices is too die for.
I would strongly recommend this hotel to family and friends.
I would strongly recommend a shuttle bus from and to the market place, in St Johns for they guest this would be very beneficial.
There is also room for improvement in the entertainment department.

Don’t go

Beautiful location but resort is tired and dirty and service is poor

The resort has potential to be so much better. Location is beautiful, buildings are fairly modern but service and general cleaning/ maintenance let it down.

Pool area needs a good deep clean- there is general dirt/ broken concrete around the pool. There is a jacuzzi but no bubbles. Lots of construction going on- several cabanas boarded up and construction noise all day. Toilets around the pool broken/ being renovated.

Service is a bit hit and miss. Some members of staff lovely, others are super slow and irritated if you ask them for a drink. Pool bar runs out of things all the time (Diet Coke, sprite, milkshake, even beer!). Lots of flies around pool bar too- no obvious fly zappers/ traps. General cleanliness of pool bar pretty poor too.

ATM is broken and reception charge a 10% surcharge to do a cash advance. Most activities in teen area are broken- basketball machine broken, air hockey broken, table football broken and no balls to play, giant chess has a piece missing.

Room wasn’t serviced a couple of days (we were only there for a week!) and we had to track down fresh towels via a series of phone calls and visits to reception.

Kids both got earache and several other people said they had the same - likely from the pool water.

Be wary of taxis as well- we had to get a taxi to a nearby pharmacy with a poorly child- 10 mins taxi ride with 10 mins waiting. The taxi driver wanted $50 USD! (Apparently $12 fixed fee for each passenger….plus a waiting charge). Would have been good to know this before we got in the taxi as only 1 of us would have gone. Reception completely nonchalant about it when we complained.

Jamil‘s workout class 8 AM was absolutely amazing. I will highly recommend this class for any newcomers.

Best vacation

The staff was great ,polite ,professional and caring. I enjoy my stay. I’m already working my stay for next year. I had a lot of fun. The restaurants were amazing. The food was amazing. We honestly never ate one taste more than once which was great. The facility itself is very clean. They’re staff is very friendly and personable I tell you if you walk past a staff member, they will say good morning, Good afternoon to you every single freaking time. Their very customer service is up to par. I like the fact that they had a water sports was great. I have the diamond package that include a person butler my butler, Paul and CONIAH was excellent. They check in on us every single day always asking me if you needed anything. They were very thoughtful and hospitable.

Hunters Is A Must If You’re Going To Visit Antigua & Barbuda

I had an amazing experience at Hunter’s Restaurant in Antigua, and Beverly was truly the highlight of my visit! Please try it for yourself, we had a great time!!

Well.. my first advice is please experience it for yourself.. having read reviews I was so worried but wow I’m glad I threw caution to the wind as it’s been one of the best holidays I have had!

We chose the diamond club offering and it did not disappoint, our butlers Emerson and dymond.. from check in to check out was more than I could have expected.

We travelled as a family with friends, from case unpacking, gifts in room, restaurant bookings nothing was too much trouble. To be balanced while there as with any holiday minor things that don’t go to plan or meet your needs, if you just say and are polite it’s fixed promptly and with a level of customer service that’s exceptionally well executed.

The food is of good quality, the rooms are clean and well serviced, the staff are on the majority happy and attentive, and I say that because I’m honestly was at times shocked by the way people think it is ok to talk to them, there was more chance of the odd person ruining your holiday from their moaning than anyone that works here. You will hear people saying they ran out of premium spirits but there was a minority who just wanted it all and consumption by them meant the occasional supply issue, which I will say was fixed quickly!

It’s a beautiful location, we used the spa, and booked a fantastic excursion and they helped us book two restaurants outside of the resort which were amazing, they get you amazing transport and ensure you are checked out and back in safely.

We celebrated by husbands 50th and it was like a birthday that lasted 9 days!

My final words.. we had the best time ever and while I know some had teething issues all I then spoke to had a great time, come and see for yourself and I think you will be pleased with your beautiful stay in this beautiful resort in Antigua
