Make a wonderful vacation FANTASTIC!

This place was awesome! I went with my daughter, son-in-law and MANY of his ectended family. It was a great time on the property and being so close to 5th avenue, walking out on the town was real easy.
I do want to shout out about some of the personnel at the resort that made it a wonderful experience, Ignacio and Mavin Concierge by the pool, Pamela, Daniela, Pablo & Rodrigo as Attentive Pool Servers

An amazing experience

had such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding; everyone was so kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. You can tell they truly care about their guests. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality

Playacar Palace staff rocks!!

We love the pool concierge staff! Ignacio is the BEST!! His nickname is Nacho and he is so kind and helpful! Perla and Sylvia are super pool servers!

Day of the Dead dinner and treats!

Day of the Dead event and food was awesome at Playacar Palace. Excellent display of dinner and so much delicious food. Plenty of food stations. Really enjoyed street taco bar with Esaud. The head chef Victor prepared very good food - glad to meet him. Great to see such plenty of supervision by Sotero and Ricardo. Waiter Fabian and Elvia’s and Alexander and Noemi worked very hard for our table. Hosts Elizabeth were very welcoming. Xiomara did a great job planning the activities for the evening. Guillermo and David did and excellent job waiting on us too. Excellent musicians playing Miramba. Fun to play Bingo too. Excellent show after dinner. Very exciting. Our family of 6 really enjoyed the evening. Thank you so much. .

A great week in paradise!

Palace Resorts, Playacar is a gem in Playa del Carmen,Mexico. From the beautiful lobby, to the well-appointed rooms, the tasty food at the restaurants, and the landscaping outside and by the pool, this place delivers!
The staff here are top notch. Ignacio 'Nacho', and Marvin, the 2 pool Concierges take time to make sure the umbrella is positioned just right.
Pool Waiters Juliana, Carlos, Silvia, Perla, and Rodrigo attend to your drink orders.
Don't miss the buffet! Yesenia, Elvia, Seterio, Eva, Noemi, Israel, and Paola serve with a smile!
For sure visit the spa, get a great massage or facial by Ruth and Brenda. A mani/pedi with Rosio too!
We'll be back!

Amazing wedding week!

My husband and I just had our wedding ceremony/reception at Playacar Palace and everything was perfect! Our wedding planner, Danaee, made our dreams come true. She was very helpful in planning everything we needed and the wedding was beautiful. She was right there at last minute issues like when my eyelash was falling off during pictures and she ran down to the beach to glue it for me! Danaee's wedding team was wonderful as well. We had about 50 guests who all had a great time. The resort in general is beautiful and clean and all staff are amazing, especially Perla at the pool, Juan, Manuel, and Victor, everyone is so friendly and helpful. We love the location because it is close to 5th ave, where we like to go to bars, shops, and restaurants. The rooms are nice and spacious and the food at all the restaurants are good but our favorite is Momo and Traitorria. This was our second time staying at the resort and we will definitely be back, if I could I would do the whole wedding again!

A fantastic trip and a fantastic place to stay! I will return!

WOW. Best trip I have been on so far. The staff goes above and beyond. I am not sure I have ever been treated so well in my life. Everyone remembers your name (even mentioning it only once), they are so personable, and a lot of the staff are excellent at English. The star of the show was Guillermo Hernandez-he was our server at Café del Mar for the week. He went above and beyond and noticed the little things like us needing shade from the sun if it was too bright by the window. He arranged a special meal for me with his chef Victor, and the manager Sotero. He said it was because I was a kind guest and they wanted to do something special for me. Their kindness knows no bounds! I was served a multiple course dinner with the most scrumptious chocolate molten lava cake. It was superb! They gave me a giant platter of meats and fresh seafood for the main course, and a sundried tomato bisque, and a delicious salad with seasonal red fruits. It was lovely and they truly made me feel so special. The talent of the chef and cooking staff aren't to be underestimated. They have incredible cuisine at every restaurant. Elizabeth- the hostess at the Italian restaurant also stood out and helped us multiple times. She arranged for special birthday and anniversary cakes to celebrate our special vacation for our family and always had the best attitude. She is also fluent in English so that was helpful for my family members that didn't speak Spanish (they actually have a program to train their staff in English so everyone seems to know quite a bit- I thought this was amazing and very helpful to us). Domingo was our stand out server at the Italian restaurant. He is so funny and gives a great show- we did the special off menu flaming cheese wheel pasta- I HIGHLY recommend getting this experience if you have time. It was so unique and the food is like a 5 star restaurant. The hotel views and beach are beautiful. Stunning sunrises I think you need to get up early for- at least look out of your balcony. The atmosphere of the resort is safe, clean, friendly, and welcoming. It started to feel like a second home. I really didn't want to leave. We got to take advantage of the resort credits too with our rooms and I thoroughly enjoyed the spa. The massages are delightful and really soothing. Some of the best I have had. My sister and mom got pedicures and loved their experience. We also swam with the dolphins and did the sunset cruise with the resort credits. I think both are well worth exploring- The only complaint I have is that the resort credits are very restricted in what you can do with them. Only $150 can be used for the spa maximum per room, and only certain excursions can be covered with this charge. There is not many and they are only on specific days so I think you should plan this out at the start. It's not something to do at last minute to take best advantage of them. You still have to pay the 16% tax but that isn't a big deal to us personally. Arit- one of the concierge staff helped us book these very easily and even helped us reschedule quickly when one of us was not feeling well. She was amazing and made booking things very easy. She is sweet and really tries to help you the best she can! We also did the snorkeling and catamaran (not something you can use resort credits on), and it was fun but fair warning the ferry ride and catamaran ride can make you feel seasick. I don't get seasick ever and it was still rough for me. Most people felt nauseous so please take a Dramamine if you go on a boat. When I got back to the hotel and wasn't feeling well Guillermo saw that and had the chef make me a special soup that was easy on my stomach so I could eat and feel better. It really was yummy and helped a lot. That's how attentive the staff are- they notice everything! I loved the luxury of the resort and having room service daily is so nice. Everything is fresh and clean and you have no worries on vacation. The Asian restaurant is my favorite personally- the food is excellent quality. I enjoyed the hibachi show too! It requires a special booking though! I had to see the doctor on staff and she helped me out with an ear infection I didn't know I had. It was just such a wonderful and fun trip overall. The best I have been on so far! We went off resort a few times- the 5th street area is really rich and vibrant and fun to shop at but the pushy salespeople can be overwhelming. Just be prepared to walk past them. Some will see your wristband from the hotel (That you can't take off) and pretend to be your server from the night before to get you into their store. They aren't really, but please remember they are just trying to make a living as living in Mexico you have to hustle to make a good living so please still be kind but firm and give them some grace! We ended up becoming members here as I want to come back and visit all the friends I made. I love it here! Thank you all for making it so special!!

Great service, friendly and fabulous!

Always excellent service at any of the Palace properties. We met Perla from the pool snack bar 13 years ago and she is still her providing great service with a beautiful smile. We love our extended Palace family and will see you soon amigos!!🥰❤️

Birthday trip

I truly enjoyed the attention and hospitality of the whole staff at Palace PlayaCar. Extra attention was given to us as we celebrated a birthday and at the Cafe del Mar...thank you chef and wait staff Elvia and Roberto for the special treatment of my guests.
