About Ocean Riviera Paradise
The Ocean Riviera Paradise is a newly-built five-star resort located on the Riviera Maya seafront, very close to Playa del Carmen. Stayed in the privilege section i want to say thanks to Hugo for everything what a genuine nice guy.
Would Definitely recommend Hugo as your butler / friend when in the resort

The room we where given we got a free upgrade to pool view what was better than the garden view,
sun all day you can sit in your hot tub watching the world go by the staff at privilege and the pool bar where great the beach was fine food good all top shelf liquor xx on draft or Heineken cans at bar lobby bar cool too so thanks ocean riviera paradise

Incredible staff.
This was an incredible resort. The stuff is second to none. Ariz and Xavier were incredible. They ensured we were well looked after each day. Pool attendant Julio was wonderful as well. Recommend getting Privledge package. More than worth it.

Love this resort -with some constructive feedback
Went to ORP with friends & although we loved this resort, some improvements can be made. Firstly, the food was great! Especially the privilege breakfast and Blue Moon. They have improved their Prosecco for mimosas (could be a little more dry since the juice sweetens it). The grounds are very clean, love the many pool options-never feels crowded & to top it off, the waiters & bartenders at the “party pool” were fantastic. Mike’s coffee is THE BEST! Joaquin in the lobby is the best! Our butler Adrian was amazing! So attentive & helpful. Absolutely love the activities incl: Karaoke, silent disco & bowling. So much fun! Some improvements I would suggest is better accommodation for seating-I shouldn’t have to be separated from my friends in an half empty restaurant with large tables available- a grp of 5 for lunch. Little bugs in the room- found what looked like spidermites on the unit below the tv, desk & closet- could be steam cleaned. Ensure toilets are fully functional in rooms-our wouldn’t flush properly. That said, it did not affect our fun. This place remains one of our favs in MR. Overall, great resort! Beautiful & well maintained with hard working staff! We will definitely return.

Oh did I mention the beds… I’m fussy and they were the best mattresses and pillow and linen all changed daily - absolutely a top rate holiday!!

Perfect vacation
We spent a week at this resort and had a fantastic time. Food was varied and good, rooms clean and comfortable. We had the privilege upgrade with our own section on the beach. Special shout out to Miguel (Mike) the beach butler. He got us a great spot on the beach every day, kept us supplied with towels and made sure all our needs were met.

The room was spacious, clean, in good shape. Bed was comfortable and linens were very nice.
The food at this resort was outstanding. Plenty of restaurants, lots of variety, and all very very delicious.
The beach was beautiful but quite rocky and had quite a bit of seaweed. We mainly swam in our swim out pool attached to our room, which was fabulous. We spent a LOT of time out here. There was poolside service, a waitress that would bring drinks. This was a lovely service to have.
Room service was always prompt and efficient. Great menu, and great service.
Overall we would return to this resort, and would like to explore other “Ocean” resorts!

Great hotel but maybe a 4.5 star instead of 5 star
As we got dropped off outside the hotel, we were greeted by the lovely concierge man who collected our bags and assured that our bags will be delivered to our room. The check in was easy. The hotel reception is beautiful and smells lovely as you walk in. We didn’t experience any hassle from people selling timeshares as some of the reviews on Tripadvisor said. We walked out of the reception into the beautiful sunshine. There is an ice cream shop which kids went straight to. Next to it is Mike’s coffee shop. Our hotel room is big, clean and very comfortable. We have a lovely view or the pool. There is a nice balcony with comfortable seats to enjoy the views. There are plenty of restaurants in the resort. I would say that the food is average and because of that, I don’t think that it is a 5 star hotel. The facilities are more than we can ask for. There is a bowling alley, a theatre where we watched great shows in the evening. There is also a creperie near the pool but opening hours are limited. The swim up bar is excellent and quick at serving drinks. There are shops that sells souvenirs and clothes. There is a shuttle that takes people around the resort but I walked most of the time. The entertainment team are brilliant in encouraging people to join some of the games including water volleyball and basketball. There is a gym and sauna which we didn’t use. There are plenty of sun loungers even with people reserving them at 6am. There are also some wild but cute animals in the hotel including coaties, spider monkey, racoons and probably a capybara but smaller. The service in all the restaurants and bars and exceptional. The cleaning team are also very good at keeping our bedrooms and the whole resort clean and tidy. One thing we didn’t enjoy is the loud music that starts at 7am until 7pm. There is no escape from it if you are relaxing by the pool. You don’t t hear the music in your bedroom if you have the balcony doors shut but if like sitting outside then the constant loud music is there. Overall, we had a nice time.

Margarita restaurant
Luis at Margarita is the most amazing server. Made us feel like he is our friend. Fast and perfect service. Food is delicious. Great Mexican style. Luis was very knowledgeable about the dishes. We were so full when leaving. Had to come back the next night. Felt very warmly welcomed!! We attended this diner and were served by him both times!

Room smelly and mouldy with paint peeling off walls everywhere. And when it rains, it just pours through the bedroom and walkways ceilings. Mould stains on room sofas and patio chairs. Dirty bathrooms.
Food is just ok. The same every day, no variation. Everything just tastes the same no matter what you have.
Not really any good for children if they want nuggets, chips etc. They are not catered for.
Beach is non existent. Sand bags everywhere to stop it washing away. Was offered cannabis and cocain on the beach.
No smoking or vape allowed at all in Mexico
