About Ocean Maya Royale
The Ocean Maya Royale hotel is located on the seafront of Riviera Maya, in the heart of the Mexican Caribbean and close to Playa del Carmen. In 2010 the hotel was completely refurbished and now has renovated rooms, a new Italian restaurant called La Dolce Vita, an addition to the already existing three themed restaurants, the Despacio Spa Centre, four meeting rooms and more. Love this place
The hotel is very clean , I came down here with other couples for a “Pre Honeymoon”. The rooms are very well kept and put together. Had a very great time at the pool doing activities with benji. Very involved with the resort guest and high energy 100/10

Ocean Maya Royale a great experience!
This was me and my wife’s second year coming to Ocean Maya Royale and it was just as awesome as last year. The restaurants are amazing and the view from the pools and beaches are breathtaking! The Japanese restaurant is excellent and the entertainment by the chef is great. We love the interaction from the activities instructors at the pool everyday. We had a great experience with Benji and his water arobics class. The nightly entertainment at the square is a perfect way to end your night.

Feels like home
We had such a great stay. Drinks were endless and always amazing! Lots of options for food. The sports bar is the absolute best for snacks! The entertainment team always keeps the pool rocking,Benji did great with pool aerobics and all the games he was so much fun. Suzanna made you feel like part of the family. Definitely recommend this resort for friends or couples. Not too big and feels like home

Benjamin from the entertainment team has made us feel so welcome, he is new at the hotel and a great addition to a superb entertainment team. He is meant for the job.
Yovannetti from the lobby bar. She is super efficient and so friendly. She’s very personable and works so hard.
Andres from the Pool area, he is the life and soul of the party.
These are just a couple of the staff but all have been amazing.
Amazing hotel
At the hotel now and it has been truly amazing, we are surprised to have seen some negative reviews before coming. The food, entertainment, drinks are all excellent. The staff cannot do enough for you, nothing is too much and they are all so welcoming and cheerful to ensure you have the best experience.Special mention to a few staff in particular -

Team that made our experience worth while
Ocean Maya Royale provided a beautiful experience for the guests and ensured there was activities each night. Most importantly we wanted to point out the experiences team viri, Kendell, Susy, Moises, Alejandro, chiqui baby, Victor. They not only made sure the guests felt welcome but they provided the upmost excitement and charisma for all guests. They gave us the most hospitable welcome and made sure we felt right at home. Superb holiday at Ocean Maya Royale Mexico
Such a fabulous place! Room was superb. Food so much choice and all delicious. Mike’s cafe excellent. All staff soo friendly always smiled and greeted you whatever they were doing. Waiter service was lovely, Adrian was great bringing us iced coffees and drinks all afternoon. Very clean everywhere and no flies and only a few mosquito bites (we did wear the bands) The coatis were great to watch and the iguanas looked awesome lazing about the place. The evening shows were great too, such energy from the dancers. We’ve just got back to the UK and have already rebooked for next October….can’t wait!

Friendly staff, they went above and beyond!
My experience at Ocean Maya was fantastic! The service is wonderful, everyone was friendly and courteous! We had hibachi one night and Christian and Isai took great care of us. On a different night we had Italian and Jose was also wonderful. As far as activities go the beach and pool had great vibes, music and food. Benji was very personable and fun to talk to! I would love to return and see everyone again! 10/10 recommend.

Good resort at a great value!
OMR was incredible value. The food was standard for an all inclusive, the tepanyaki experience was bar far the best. If you are a foodie, the food will be fine. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part, always looking to go above and beyond. The few exceptions were not happy to be working, but were not rude. The hotel was clean, and the rooms were beautiful. We highly recommend OMR for a good all inclusive at a great value!

I loved the beach, pools & my room 3107 was very close to the beach & quiet at night.
The staff is absolutely OUTSTANDING! I can’t believe staff members even remembered my name. Overall, the food was very good with Dolce Vita & Blue Moon being gourmet & very delicious. The waiters at these restaurants are AMAZING. The buffet was wonderful as well. The bartenders would remember my drinks. All the staff work so hard.

I travelled solo to OMR from Oct. 12 to Oct. 26, 2025. I have been to many all inclusive resort all over Mexico. The OMR was a real WOW for me. I call this one a perfect trip. I found the resort to be very beautiful in every aspect.I loved the beach, pools & my room 3107 was very close to the beach & quiet at night.
