Wonderful Sandals Experience

This is our first sandals experience and our review reflects only the resort at Grenada. We chose the Grenada resort based on the reviews, its age, and proximity to the airport, which was exactly 5 minutes as described on their website. The reviews provided on this resort did not disappoint. The main reasons for our rating are based on the service provided by the butlers assigned to us and the staff at the resort, they were very pleasant and ensured that our stay was enjoyable and attended to our needs. We would definitely recommend the butler service for future stays. The resort grounds were well maintained and relatively new as we noticed some improvements on the facades of the buildings (sprucing up the paint). Our room located in the Italian Village with butler service was extraordinary, large in size with an infinity pool, and well appointed. The bar was very well stocked with our preferences as well. The restaurants at this resort were all very good, however, we would suggest some improvements be considered at 2 of them, the Italian (Cucina Romana) and Chinese (Kimonos) restaurants. The menus need updating and for Kimonos we were expecting al la carte which we preferred but instead a feast style offering with the usual displays by the chef at the grille was provided. This is outdated and request that Sandals provide a more current al la carte menu for Kimonos or any of their Chinese restaurants. Also, the standard wine offerings at the restaurant were not very good, at some, the red wine was previously opened, too warm for my liking, and gone a bit sour. Sandals needs to consider offering a reasonable Wine Managers List inclusive to the menu rather than having to pay separately for some of their quality wines. For a high end all-inclusive adult resort, this should be standard, not extra! A further suggestion is for Sandals to consider using the countries (island) local currency as an option rather than strictly the USD. Its far more economical on exchange for non-US residents. Lastly, the resort experienced a water issue near the end of our stay, where all were without water for approximately a full day. We were told that there was a water main issue that was caused by tremors on the island and near by. We checked on any news reports if Grenada experienced these tremors as claimed and the last tremor/earth quake for Grenada occurred in 2024. These claims were inaccurate. In summary this is a very good resort and well recommended.

Relaxing and Fun

The resort was amazing from top to bottom! We loved the friendly staff and our butler team, who were professional, thoughtful, and made us feel completely at home. A big thank-you to Don, Christopher, and Samuel for taking such great care of us.

The resort offers the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. We spent countless hours enjoying the beach and pool, but also took advantage of the scuba diving offered on-site. Prince, who helped us earn our PADI Open Water certification, was an outstanding instructor. He made sure we fully understood each lesson before moving on, ensuring our safety and confidence underwater. He also made every dive enjoyable — an all-around great person, so thank you (from your number 1 trainees).

We highly recommend both the resort and the diving experience!

Exceptional Service & Relaxation at Sandals Grenada

This trip surpassed our expectations. I typically venture off property, but Sandals Grenada kept us happily on site. For our 16th anniversary, staff recognized the occasion and added thoughtful touches that made the stay feel personal. Dining was a standout: Butch’s Chophouse for a special night, Dino’s for perfectly crisp pizza at lunch, and Spices for a fresh, varied breakfast to start each day.
Pools, gardens, and common areas are immaculate, and our room was comfortable and quiet. What really sets this resort apart is the consistency of service—friendly, efficient, never intrusive.
If there’s one tip, it’s to reserve prime dinner times early; Butch's fills quickly. Overall, an easy five stars for hospitality, dining, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. We’ll be back.

Beautiful smaller resort

This resort is smaller and quieter than most which makes a wonderful intimate and romantic atmosphere. The staff are wonderful and can't do enough for you. They all seem to be happy to work there too which adds to the atmosphere.
The restaurants were all excellent and we wish we could have stayed longer. We will be returning as soon as we can.
The included activities and water sports are excellent. The bars are well stocked and staffed by knowledgeable, friendly people. They can make a variety of cocktails as well as the local beers and the usual top shelf spirits.
The luxury level rooms are a very high standard at a lower price. Very clean and modern facilities including well stocked mini fridge, coffee etc.
Located next to the airport makes the transfer time around five minutes. We only briefly noticed a few planes a day and the noise was surprisingly low. No planes at night so no trouble sleeping.

Luxury on a beautiful Caribbean island!

Fantastic holiday made special by the staff especially Glendon who looked after us superbly! The food was excellent and the entertainment is top class and could grace the West End! Also dancing to suit all with silent discos and karaoke but equally lots of places to be relaxed and quieter.

Great Getaway with a few Caveats

We really enjoyed the size of resort because it was easy to get around and there was no issue getting pool chairs. The room (lover’s lagoon) was well appointed and felt secluded. Shout out to Kerim for the champagne and his great attitude! The snorkeling from the beach was my favorite activity. Our misses were the food at Neptune (fisherman’s stew) and Le Gardinier actually served my wife a completely different entree saying afterward that the menu was wrong.

Great Staff! Great Food!

I stayed at Sandals Grenada from Oct 13th to 20th. It was my first time at Sandals and it went beyond my expectations. Beautiful resort and they have the staff, entertainment, drinks and food to match. Kimonos & Butch were my favorite restaurants. Huge shoutout to Zina and the wedding staff for helping in my surprise proposal. And HUGE shoutout to Stephenson for making such good drinks and amazing service, the lady of entertainment Danya, and DJ blaze (Great playlist and always takes requests) at the southside pool bar. Highly recommend for couples or a family trip.

Sandals Grenada Review

What am amazing week! Truly, sheer perfection. This is our 11th Sandals trip and 3rd to Grenada. We stayed in the 1SKY room with butler service. Everything was impeccable!

Our room was absolutely lovely with a fantastic view and a warmish sky pool. No noticeable maintenance issues at all, and housekeeping was excellent. Our room was made up each morning while we dove, and turn down service nightly while we ate dinner. Plenty of towels, etc.

Our butler team was exceptional - Kieran, Akim, and Junior made our week super special! All super nice guys who took excellent care of us.

The dive team really stood out this time - always a great time diving here but Adrian really makes the experience amazing. His exceptional service and attention to safety and guest experience is second to none. Shimere and Tyrone also took excellent care of us on the boat and below the waves. 1st mate Kenneth was a savior helping me in and out of the water, and Captain Shawn was always thorough and entertaining with his boat orientation and safety information. Truly the reason we'll be back again one day is this team - they are simply the best.

Our dining experiences were excellent. We ate at every restaurant for dinner and enjoyed them all. We never felt rushed but also never waited longer than expected. We read all the reviews about "Island time" and being patient but simply didn't see it. Everything was paced appropriately and the food here is really unique and yummy. Try the falafel at Neptune's for lunch - so good! Sushi at Soy was amazing, Kimono's remains a favorite for the entertainment as well as the cuisine. Steaks were perfect at Butch's. Le Jardiniere was excellent for dinner and breakfast.

The grounds were beautiful. We were up early every morning to dive and saw all the employees working hard to make it just right, sweeping sand off sidewalks and raking it, etc. We didn't spend time in either pool as we had our own, but loved our beach time and swimming in the ocean. We had no problem finding chairs after diving on the beach. Do be cautious if you walk into the ocean area closer to the dive shop - I cut my foot on a rock pretty badly walking in. The other area is sandier.

Overall, 10/10 - truly. This is our favorite Sandals trip to date with no issues and perfection from the staff. We can't wait to come back! Thanks so much to everyone for making it such a special week! 🥰

Grenada is a Dream

As our vacation is sadly coming to an end, my husband and I have to say that Grenada has been the most welcoming, friendly, and hospitable resort compared to the other Sandals that we have visited. We are so sad to leave. We stayed in the Hideaway Pool area. Our room was spotless and very clean. This area of the resort is very quiet and you are a short walk away from the Main Pool.

The views at this resort are also amazing. My husband and I would walk out to the pier and have a few drinks while taking in the beauty of the ocean and beachfront.

Our two favorite waitresses, Emelyn (Cucina Romana) and Leanna (Butch’s) made our vacation so memorable and fun. They were so attentive and were willing to go above and beyond for anything that we requested. We will always remember them as playing a major role during our vacation. I will miss their smiles and their beautiful souls. They make Sandals Grenada feel like home.

Rudy (Manager at Cucina Romana) was also very kind. He remembered our favorite drinks and was very welcoming. Rudy made it a point to ask another manager to help take care of my father who is disabled and asked him to help us leave the restaurant since the coral ramp could become slick. I was thankful how considerate he was.

One of the best forms of entertainment was Gasper at Kimonos. He was creative, talented, and very engaging. He strived to make our whole table laugh and he wanted everyone to have a wonderful time. You can tell he is a gifted chef and Grenada is lucky to have acquired him from Tokyo.

A huge shoutout to Nick, Anil, and Dwayne for always being willing to assist my parents when needing help getting to dinner. My dad is in a wheelchair and my mom needs a knee replacement. They were always willing to take them in the golf cart to dinner and pick them up afterwards. Their kindness does not go unnoticed and their compassion made it easier to travel with a parent who is disabled. I appreciate them more than they will ever know. In addition, Stevon from the Water Sports Department was also very helpful. He saw me carrying my father’s wheelchair from the Pink Gin rooms and came to assist without any hesitation. He swooped in and was willing to help right away. A huge thanks to him for going above and beyond as well.

To our favorite bartender Kareem and his assistant Kisselle. Kareem kept the drinks flowing and always poured with a smile. Kisselle’s energy was unmatched and she worked the front pool area with grace and laughs. She works hard day in and day out to make her customers happy, despite the warm beating sun. Kisselle always has a smile on her face and I enjoyed talking with her. I loved her kind and positive energy towards others.

Bassey and Akeem from the Loyalty and Booking Office were wonderful to work with when my mother and I booked another vacation. They helped us find great deals and were very helpful and informative. My mom and I signed up for the Sandals credit card to receive additional points on our future vacations. Also, I missed the Returning Dinner where rum was given out. Both Bassey and Akeem ensured that I received a bottle before I left. Thank you to them both for making this process so seamless and quick. They have exceptional customer service skills.

Lastly, Rachel from Cafe de Paris is a gem. Our first day on the resort, she asked my husband if he would like to try the “Rachel’s Special.” Her recipe was absolutely delicious and she takes pride in seeing her customers happy. She also made delicious crepes for us and went above and beyond to prepare the ingredients we wanted. She made the atmosphere welcoming and relaxing by telling us that she would bring the crepes out to us once they were finished. I complimented her work ethic since you could tell by her multitasking and her interactions with her customers that she takes so much pride in her job.

We are sad to leave, but we plan on visiting this location again very soon!

Amazing trip with outstanding butler service.

Our butlers — Alex, Antonio, and Mikhail — made our Sandals Grenada stay absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make everything perfect.

Alex always seemed to know what we needed before we did, Antonio’s energy and sense of humor made every day fun, and Mikhail’s professionalism and attention to detail made everything feel effortless. They worked together flawlessly to make our trip completely stress-free.

Thanks to them, we felt truly cared for and spoiled the entire time. They turned a great vacation into one we’ll never forget!

Another Amazing Visit!

This was our 4th time visiting and certainly won't be the last!! The resort and everyone who plays in part are amazing (more info below) but the island its self is beautiful and i I'd highly recommend getting out on any tour and seeing what Grenada has to offer.

This resort is one of a kind and never disappoints. This is primarily down to each and every person we come into contact with, with special call outs to:

Restaurants - whilst majority of changes to the menus are disappointing, mainly because some favourites have been removed, the food we ate was always delicious and to a great standard. Shout out to Rhonda in butches who is always on point, quick and a great at what she does. 2 out of 3 times we visited she was our server and was the best.
Nikisha in the Italian is a truly incredible, special lady. Her smile lights up the restaurant and she is so helpful with menu recommendations.
Rudy - unfortunately we only seen him twice towards the end of our stay and I say unfortunately because hes a great guy who we always enjoy speaking with. Another great character and personality.
Kesron from both spices and tipsy turtle! We have never seen anyone work as hard as he does, he is constantly moving, always manages to find things needing doing but more importantly he is a truly wonderful person. His big smile and super friendly personality and skills are truly amazing.

Drinks - as always all the bartenders and servers are amazing at what they do and drinks are still of a very high quality. If I could give the following people a 12/10 I would, they really are the best at what they do and they bring smiles, laughter and fun to our days and make this holiday so memorable:
Pool bar - Terrell, Kymond, Stephenson, Micah, Shawndy, Kwesi, Sherene, Chrissy, Leanna and the guy who wears a white spotted shirt (sorry didn't catch his name!).
Tipsy Turtle - Krishna. He was made for that pub!! He is so talented and fun, he gives the pub character and good vibes. Dwayne is great too and always smiling.
Living room - Dereck and it was great to see Mario back too both great guys.

Dinos - the pizzas are delicious and we've seen everyday how hard those guys work in the heat too, its not easy!

Separately we have to thank Randell the butler, what a truly special person he is. He has always looked after us where possible since being our butler on a previous trip. He is so attentive, attention to detail is on point and hes excellent at what he does.
He made our anniversary the most special, went out of his way to give us an incredible lunch in a spectacular setting and gave us memories we will cherish forever.

On the point of our anniversary, when we book, check in, and at multiple points throughout our stay sandals, and people here, ask if we're celebrating anything special but nothing ever comes of it. I don't expect anything but when we are asked on multiple occasions it does set an expectation. My feedback on this is you should only be asking for these details if you intend on celebrating it e.g a bottle of champagne, or chocolates, banner anything really. Otherwise it gets people's hopes up and nothing comes of it. But thankfully Randell didn't forget and gave us the best experience.

Jeniffer from guest services was brilliant, she listens, understands and always follows up on what she says .

The photoshop crew - they have such funny personalities and have us in stitches laughing. They're a great team, shout out to Marissa who is always got a smile on her face and so welcoming, she does a good job keeping those boys in check ;)

Entertainment - each year they seem to up their game in the evening shows, there is some incredible talent.
Kimony is of course our favourite! His energy is unlike anything we've seen, hes always around getting people involved, and making it a fun day.
Andrell who recently started is doing great, we've had some great conversations with him and I've no doubt hes a great asset to the team.
And of course the rest of the team - thank you!

I'm sure there are plenty of other names we have missed which is a testament to how amazing this resort is.

The grounds of the resort are beautifully kept, the gym is good and gives what is needed, the aqua aerobics is fun and there really is something for everyone here.

Consistently the best

This was our second year in a row at Sandals Grenada, and we loved it just as much as the first time! The food was great, the weather was amazing, and everyone on the island is so nice. We took an excursion to the rainforest + waterfall which was beautiful, and the house of chocolate - both were really great! We were lucky enough to have our same butler from last year Randell - he is amazing, going above and beyond for the group I was traveling with multiple times. We also had Glendon - who was also amazing. They both really made our trip special and a great experience from the moment we got there until the moment we left. Also special shout out to Krystal, Bassy, and John!

Small, intimate, resort with a loyal clientele

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Sandals Grenada and had an incredible time, so much so we have changed a future Sandals stay at another resort to return to this one.

We weren’t blessed with the ideal weather on arrival and the next day, with what would become hurricane Melissa, and given the size of the resort, when compared to Barbados and Antigua, we weren’t entirely sure what everyone was raving about.

Once we’d got over the flight though, and the weather picked up, we can really appreciate why there are people who return year after year, and the size of the resort is actually part of its charm. Nothing is ever more than a few minutes walk away, and the staff are genuinely happy about working there. Speaking with some of them, it becomes very apparent that everyone sees themselves as a crucial part of a very well oiled machine, and whether they’re front of house or back office staff, without everyone working together the resort wouldn’t function as well as it does.

We opted for a Lover’s Lagoon Hideaway Junior Suite with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub (room type LJS), room 9208, because this was a bonus week away, and I have to say that although it’s at the back of the resort, it was one of the larger rooms we’ve had at Sandals and was very quiet considering the proximity of the airport runway (you can see it from the doorway to the room). In no way did it affect our stay, and we’d happily book, and recommend, it again.

We spent most of our days round the “party pool”, but mainly because we enjoyed the entertainment which runs from late morning until around 5pm daily. We never had an issue getting sun beds.

Restaurants were really nice, we ate at Butch’s, Le Jardinier, Kimonos, Soy and Cucina Romana for dinner and every meal was delicious, and always an “event”. Breakfasts at Spices, Cucina Romana and Le Jardinier were equally nice, whilst lunches at Neptunes and Spices never disappointed. We are yet to have a bad meal at Sandals, but maybe we’re not as picky as others.

The beach is not at nice as Antigua, but it’s a very nice walk of a morning and the water was really warm and calm in the bay, I’d recommend water shoes though as there are quite a lot of shells to walk through and a sudden drop close to the beach.

One “gripe” we’d have is the lack of “merch” which has Grenada on it, unlike Barbados or Antigua, there’s no beach bags and not much clothing with the resort branding, but that didn’t stop us buying things.

We had a day out touring the island, as it’s nice to see where you are, and was interesting to see the different parishes and views of this stunning island.

What was a resort we were unsure about initially has very firmly pushed itself to the top, and we were so sad to leave after just a week. As I’ve said, we’ve changed a future holiday to return to Sandals Grenada such was our experience, and if you’re looking for somewhere that’s beautiful and relaxed, there really isn’t a better place to stay than here.

Wonderful Resort!

We had a relaxing experience at Sandals Grenada after taking sailing lessons in Grenada. Booked with some loyalty points after a lackluster stay at the dated Barbados location. SG did not disappoint! Grounds absolutely lush, beautiful, and well kept. Was given an upgraded swim out room (YES!!) which was so pretty and well appointed. The property is quite walkable. There were many entertainment activities in the evening like music, steel drums, dancers, that we enjoyed. Staff was so friendly and accommodating to our needs. Food was delicious although if you want the real Grenadian experience, you must go off resort. I have no complaints and would return 10/10. I would say staying close to the pool with DJ, music was a bit loud for some looking for a more relaxed experience. Thank you Sandals for a lovely stay!!

Wonderful trip to Grenada

Another fantastic vacation to Sandals Grenada. I first went in October 2022 for my honeymoon and just got back yesterday after an 8 night stay. We stayed in the South Seas Honeymoon Butler Villa with Private Pool (1BP). The room was amazing and our butlers were great. I’ve been to 4 other Sandals resorts and Grenada is by far my favorite. Christopher, one of our butlers in Grenada, is my most favorite butler. He was attentive, personable and planned nice surprises for us. We loved relaxing in the pool at our room and loved the beach. The food in Grenada is spectacular as well. We really enjoyed spending time at the quiet pool. The last couple days at the party pool felt like college spring break, not really my vibe. But it looked like everyone enjoyed themselves. Overall, Sandals Grenada will always be my favorite and I cannot wait to go back! And I hope to have Christopher again for butler service!

Heaven on Earth

The rooms have been updated. Looks fresh clean and bright. Shutters for privacy. Bed was firm but very comfortable. Fridge always stocked daily with juice sodas and water. There are also bottles of a variety of liquors and wine.
The grounds were immaculate! Beautiful tropical gardens, Wish I could grow the flowers at home but it's too foggy here darn it.
Staff were outstanding!

Leston - Club Sandals.
He's at a new position that highlights his friendly nature and his ability that made us feel like we've known him forever. We had a special request in regards to the coffee from the gift shop
He And the young lady from the Gift shop both took care of his request!! They truly wanted us to be happy. Don't get me wrong, they get a well deserved 5 +stars
We applaud you both!

Tiffany - Bartender.
This woman has skills. My husband and I loved her! Hubby would request her to make him something, whatever she chose. She would whip up these unique, potent drinks that spoiled him. On the other hand i don't drink. She accommodated me by making these beautiful, flavorful non alcoholic drinks that I wish could find at home. Sandals should be offer "Tiffany's Specials".

Abigail - Tipsy Turtle.
They served these crispy steak fries and chicken wings. She was working the floor by herself and what a fantastic job she did Service with a smile and great conversation, while keeping a smile that made me smile.

Delisha -
Awesome kind and a delight to know.

Pushada - Neptune's
She remembered my husband and I immediately. Beautiful smile,
warm delightful personality. Always made sure that my beverages were non - alcoholic.

Samantha & Kiana - Cafe de Paris
This is THE dessert spot! Everything offered was so yummy.
Samantha gave us some of her favorite items and she never missed. The Nutmeg ice cream was very, very good
Sounds odd but taste it and you will be amazed. Just Wow!!

Sausha and Shelise - Le Jardiniere
Talk about service with a smile. Very accommodating! On a day I ordered room service my husband went to breakfast alone. He is unable to fully use his left hand. These ladies took care of him, making sure he had everything he needed. They truly spoiled him. Unfortunately he hoped to get the same wonderful experience at home lol.

We will be going back to Sandals Grenada for our 3rd visit in 2027.
Can't wait!! Have been to Sandals Negril 4 times!

We are Sandals vacationers for life!!

PS.. Met the most wonderful folks in the pool. Each of them looked out for my husband Keith due to the aforementioned hand issue. These folks told me to go do my thing and they would look out for him. He didn't miss me at all!!!

Best Sandals = Grenada!

Just had a week here and it was the best vacation. All the staff are so friendly and kind. The resort is constantly updating and improving. We are Sandals loyalist because of the people who work there. Special shout out to Varnell, Whitney, Jaxon, too many to mention but this is a place where the butlers are kind to the guests who don’t even have a butler. Here’s looking at you, Glendon. We will be back and we will certainly recommend Sandals Grenada. A+++

Stunning Sandals Grenada

Sensational Sandals - Wow what a week, from start to finish it was amazing.

The service was fantastic, the room on the club level pink gin beach was unreal.

Restaurants - Butch’s was the fave, Oysters, lobster tails, steaks and lamb cutlets were just so delicious.
The French restaurant was great, French onion soup and lamb shank was our fave.
Cafe de Paris was always a treat, special shout out to Rachel, great coffees.
Salmon and cream cheese bagels are beautiful.

Club level room service was always special too.

Drinks a plenty and always tasted great.
We loved the Tipsy Turtle it can get busy in there, but we always got served in due course.
We did wish that opened at 4pm rather than 6pm so we could pop into the pub before getting dressed (only our view)
We met some great friends whilst there, and would one hundred per cent return to Sandals Grenada.

Few shouts out to, Kissel by pink gin pool, she was fantastic.

Leanna at Butch chop house, she was always so fantastic and happy.

Steven the dive instructor was great and always around for help and guidance.

Housekeeping was brilliant, and room was always tidy, and ready for the day/night.
The view from our room was so beautiful and hearing the waves at night and first thing in the morning was something special.

Anyone thinking of coming here, I wouldn’t hesitate, a quick 5 min transfer to and from the airport is always a plus.

First Sandals visit

The resort is 5 minutes from the airport and 15-20 minutes from St. George. The property is amazing. The staff was welcoming and always ready to assist us when needed. The room was spacious and the daily housekeeping kept things extremely clean and mini bar stocked! All the restaurants were all fantastic. We dined at all of them. The excursions we took were fun and signing up was easy. We did rent a car to further explore the island. The locals everywhere were always helpful.

BEST HONEYMOON EVER!

I cannot begin to express how amazing Sandals Grenada is. The amenities, the food, but most importantly the staff, were all top notch. This was the best vacation I have ever had. This place made my honeymoon better than I could have ever dreamed! I was looking for a place that felt warm and welcoming, and would be relaxing, and this was all of that and more.
