Great stay

I came here with my son to celebrate his 18th birthday and we were pleased with our stay. There is not much night life, which was okay with us, and activities weren’t as prevalent as other all inclusive resorts we’ve visited. Food was typical for an all inclusive, we enjoyed the beach Bali bed multiple days and couldn’t have been happier with the service from Aurelio. My glass was never empty and no request was too much for him. He was friendly, kind, and gave great recommendations. Give that man a promotion!

it was pleasant

The hotel is extremely well staffed, it’s very pretty, they have quite a variety of restaurants as well. The beach is not what I had hoped for, it is not a white sandy beach, it is very narrow and the ocean is rough. They did have several pools to choose from and the bars and food service around the pools was terrific. However, the tile around all the pools is very slippery and with all the water from people getting in and out of the pools, it was very dangerous. Kudos to the hotel staff - they were phenomenal. We had a wedding planned on an island that got canceled three hours before the event due to weather. The hotel stepped in and put together a fantastic wedding for the bride and groom in less than three hours. They went above and beyond.

Best place in Puerto Vallarta

Ricardo was our butler he was very attentive helpful with everything we asked he also suggested great places to go visit and also eat. I recommend everyone to visit dreams it’s a great place very very great service and everyone is super friendly very great food also

Not what I thought it was going to be, but made it as best as could be.

We stayed in the Preferred Club during our visit, but overall, our experience fell short of expectations in several areas.

First, the room conditions were concerning. There was a strong musky odor likely caused by the humidity and poor ventilation. I also noticed mildew in the corners of the shower and suspected mold in harder-to-see areas. I have a mold allergy, and unfortunately, this had a serious impact on my health during the stay. I woke up each day congested and with a sore throat that lasted all day, symptoms that went away as soon as I returned home. This significantly affected my ability to enjoy the trip.

As for the Preferred Club upgrade, we didn’t find it to be worth the additional cost. The included bottle of liquor wasn’t something we liked (but also didn’t ask for something different), the hot tub on the balcony wasn’t particularly special, and the separate building didn’t add much to the overall experience. The Preferred Club lounge snacks were the same items served at the Carnival buffet or coffee shop — nothing elevated or exclusive. Overall, there was no meaningful difference between Preferred Club and a standard room experience.

Our butler, Noemi, was very kind and professional. It was our first time having a butler, so we weren’t exactly sure what was appropriate to ask. She did message us most mornings with updates on activities around the resort, which we appreciated. She wasn’t overbearing, but also didn’t check in much to see if we needed anything. That said, when we did reach out to her directly, she was great and very helpful.

The food at the resort was generally good, and we appreciated the quality at the main restaurants. However, service across the resort was hit-or-miss. Some staff were welcoming, but others seemed uninterested or disengaged, which impacted the overall vibe.

The biggest letdown was the entertainment and daily activities. The same few games or events were repeated every day with almost no variety. It felt repetitive and uninspired. There were very few shows in the evenings — if any — and most nights felt dull with nothing happening around the resort. For a vacation destination, it was honestly boring, and it seemed like entertainment wasn’t a priority.

In summary, while we enjoyed the beachfront location and some aspects of the food and service, the mold issues in the room, lack of value in the Preferred Club upgrade, limited entertainment, and inconsistent staff interactions made the overall experience disappointing. We were expecting more, especially for a resort marketed as a luxury, all-inclusive stay.

Great overall experience for fun relaxation and value

Great overall experience. Everyone and everything catered for.
Good value for money as it is an all inclusive resort. Staffvery friendly and eager to help. The perfect laid back holiday destination.

Such a great experience! Would go back again!

We loved our experience at Dreams! This was our first time staying at an all-inclusive resort and the food and drinks were delicious. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, they remembered us everytime we came down from our room. Our butler, Ricardo, made sure to make us feel extra special during our honeymoon and sent us champagne and strawberries, as well as having our room decorated with flower petals and balloons one of the nights. The pool staff will make sure that your drink is always filled and there are so many activities, that you never need to leave the resort. However, if you do decide to leave the resort, the staff has wonderful recommendations on where you should visit.

Disappointed on what I received for the price I paid.

The property is nice although a bit outdated. There were no overhead fans in the common areas, so it was very hot. The staff were friendly and helpful, excellent customer service. However the drinks were terrible, watered down, the worst margaritas I had in Mexico. I did not like the constant selling and haggling at the beach, especially while I'm trying to relax.

Beautifully located Resort.

We had a great time at this resort. The rooms were clean and well appointed.
The staff make this small resort exceptional. In no particular order the standouts for us were Mauricio and Ricardo in the Preferred Club, Alma with the UVC club (we are not members, but she’s amazing), Joel with the entertainment crew, Jimmy and Noe with Watersports. The complete standouts for us however were Victor in the buffet and Alejandro in the buffet. They could t so enough for you.

As always with this brand I appreciate not having to make dinner reservations.

The only downside is that they have recently made it so adults can’t access the secrets side of the resort if they don’t purchase the access. To do so, you have to purchase it for the entirety of your stay or the last day of your trip if you choose not to purchase for the entirety. The secrets adults can access the dreams side at will. Not a deal breaker, just information.

Amazing Staff!!

This was my second time staying at Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort, and I loved it even more this time around. The staff were amazing. Javier Sanchez, Joel, and Ramon really made our stay special.

Javier always greeted us with a smile and provided the best service in Carnival. He even had the patience to teach us a little bit of Spanish with each visit and gave us safety tips when heading out for festivities.

Joel and Ramon provided all the entertainment, day and night. Whether it was water aerobics in the morning, or karaoke at night, they brought so much energy and always had us laughing.

I genuinely can’t thank the Dreams staff enough for taking such good care of us, and making it a friends trip we’ll never forget.

First time here, but definitely not the last!!! Can't wait to come back!!

We stayed here for a family vacation and had the most wonderful time. This place has everything to offer.
Very clean atmosphere, attentive staff, exceptional food and drink. Why would anyone stay elsewhere?
I would recommend this place to anyone!!!!
