Cute, Cozy, Laid Back

An excellent stop on our 17 day jaunt through the islands! Cute, cozy, and laid back atmosphere. Excellent staff as soon as you arrive and through out your stay. Saves on the hassle of budgeting in for meals and drinks! Highly recommend them!

Best Tropical Beachfront All Inclusive Vacation!

It was an absolutely wonderful all inclusive vacation! Our corner, ground floor room was fantastic with a front porch that looked out onto the ocean and beautiful tropical plants and palms. You also have an on-site gift shop that carries everything you might need, plus many island souvenirs. The daily food and drink choices were wonderful and the quality was so good. We will definitely be returning!

Best vacation package on St. Thomas

This resort was by far the best. Being a family-owned resort is a plus; all the employees understand the importance of being friendly and helpful. Everyone was helpful and when above and beyond to make the stay the best
experience. Those who were behind the scenes need to be recognized as well.

Great destination for a relaxing vacation.

Fabulous small family owned all-inclusive resort. Everyone is super friendly and engaged from start to end. There are plenty of options to stay busy or if not just stay on the beach or the pool to relax. We really wanted an all-inclusive option that would not break the bank. We opted for a ground floor, beach access room. We did not hear noises late at night, which was a plus for us early to bed folks. The resort offered all non-motorized water equipment as part of the package. There was great live music every night from 6-9 pm.

Amazing place

This place was amazing awesome people and awesome environment we will definitely be coming back! We also went on a couple of the excursions through the resort on the Heavenly Days catamaran and it was absolutely beautiful and so much fun we highly recommended doing those also

A hidden Gem

Bolongo All-Inclusive package was everything! I came with my family of 5 and there were lots of this to do. Jemmerson the Door Man was excellent. He helped me with everything for our tours. Which the Resort has tours as well. The food was delicious and plentiful. We are all sitting here stuffed from breakfast. Tim was our morning waiter he was lots of fun! Corrine the housekeeper was also excellent. She told me about the island and what I should see. Mia the hostess at the restaurant was pleasant and kept a smile on her face. The rooms are just as described and were very clean. The balcony views were to die for!!!! Our experience here was awesome!!!! But I do have one Con😣 the mosquitos were very bad out here. I just learn that they come out mostly at night. However, the swim up bar made up for that🙌🏽✅

First Timers

Bolongo Bay Resort was a great place to relax and enjoy the US Virgin Island. The staff was very friendly. The resort was clean and enjoyable. There was a great selection of food and drinks at Iggies Oasis and it was so good! Family friendly and the younger kids are able to enjoy mocktails to spice up their stay and feel fancy.

Cant wait to go back!

Bolongo bay is a great place to vacation, they have the best drinks and food and have an all inclusive plan that is great! Me and my family had the best time there, my seven year old had so much fun swimming in the pool, snorkeling in the ocean and so many other things. The staff is great all around the entire property. Just don't be scared of Lizards! :)

Honeymoon

The beach off Bolongo bay is absolutely breathtaking. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by views of turquoise waters, swaying palms, and a pristine private beach that has private beach chairs, paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel gear. Another standout feature of Bolongo Bay is the food, from fresh seafood and specialties to classic American fare, every meal was a treat. The Caribbean sunset and oasis burger were personal favorites! Bolongo Bay has a laid back island vibe. Their staff is wonderful and are there to make your experience top notch.

Hidden Gem

The staff was excellant ! Very nice and helpful . Jessica the manager is very friendly and nice . She goes a step above. Jamison the office helper is very helpful and attentive. The bartender Ashley was great . The food is some of the best I have had . Great drinks . Love seeing the iguanas and lizards. Nice tropical flowers everywhere .

Best food and friendly staff ever.

Super friendly family “feel” resort. Even the other guests felt family like.
Our room 216 had a great view and location.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals were delicious and plentiful.
Our sunset cruise with Benjamin’s crew on Heavenly Days was a wonderful experience.
Tim’s tour took us up to Mountain Top and all around the island.
We rented and drove a Jeep for week…. Even over to Trunk Bay on St. John.
High Tide’s mahi tacos on St. John were almost as good as at Igges…

Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is AWESOME! This is truly a superior resort!!

This was one of my first time to St Thomas and one of my favorite vacations I've ever taken. Bolongo Bay is family owned, small, and excellent in every way. The rooms were clean, the beds super comfortable and great AC. The staff was top-notch, friendly and helpful. The food was 10/10 for every meal! Truly the best experience I've ever had at a resort.

Great start followed by a horrible finish.

Customer service was hit or miss, we had amazing service from Trevia, Tim, Donna, 007, Jamareson, and the whole beach hut crew. These standout individuals made our whole experience worthwhile and saved our trip. However we waited over an hour for our salads for lunch. We ended up canceling the lunch order and walking away due to it taking up too much of our day away while people around us all got their salads and sandwiches before us despite ordering after us. Then we had a hot water pipe burst in our room and flooded not only our room but the one beneath us. We tried to call the front desk but no one answered. My girlfriend had to run down to the front desk to voice our complaint while I piled up all our towels to prevent our stuff in the room from getting wet as the puddle engulfed most of the room. She was unable to find the front desk worker and Jamareson was kind enough to call maintenance for us. The maintenance worker who came was very informative and was up very quickly to try to resolve the issue. Unfortunately he did not have the part available to replace it. We waited over 2 hours and when he stopped back in was surprised we were still there and told us the front desk was supposed to call us and tell us to get a new room which they never called. We packed up everything and walked down to the front desk we sat and waited while since no one was there and when she came out seemed upset with us for interrupting her dinner. We had to eat a late dinner due to this debacle and wasted a part of our night. The next day we checked out and asked if anything could be done and she walked back to talk to the manager but manager never made contact with us about the issues we had or to try and make it right. All in all we had a good time but it was a tale of two different experiences. First few days were amazing but then plagued by issues and poor hospitality the last few. If it wasn't for the great people we met there and the amazing service and hospitality we got from the select few we encountered our experience with Bolongo would of been a complete disappointment.

Most disgusting place I ever stayed

Avoid this hellhole. The room was outdated. It smelled awful in the bathroom. We used bug spray and still got bite up very bad. The ladies room toilet at iggys was like off its base. The shower was the size of a broom closet. When we arrived, I was almost in tears when I saw how awful the place looks. The beach is small and the water is very rocky.

Adding a different perspective - not a 4 or 5 star experience whatsoever

My husband and I were there for his 40th birthday. This is something we’d been looking forward to for months, especially after a particularly difficult year. We chose Bolongo Bay for its character, local authenticity, and reputation for warmth. The all-inclusive package was really the thing to move the needle on our decision. We knew we weren’t signing up for luxury, but we were hoping for something special.

And for a brief moment, that’s what we got. Our first night and day were lovely.

Unfortunately, the rest of the stay painted a very different picture.

Over the course of the week, we were met with a level of dismissiveness and hostility from waitstaff and front desk staff that was frankly baffling.

Menus were snatched out of our hands, drinks were slammed on the table, and we were repeatedly scowled at, ignored, or made to feel like we were somehow the problem for simply being there.

Worse, we overheard loud, angry arguments complete with screaming and profanity from the kitchen during dinner service, even with children present. And we had multiple staff openly express to us how unhappy and miserable they were at work. That level of emotional leakage may be human, but it leaves guests (especially those paying over $7K for a stay) feeling awkward, unwelcome, and frankly a little foolish for expecting otherwise.

We did have bright spots. Captain Dave and the Heavenly Days crew were phenomenal, and a few staff members were genuinely warm. The boat rides were a thoughtful touch, and we appreciated them. The food was delicious.

But overall, what we encountered didn’t match the reviews or the reputation... and from what I’ve since seen in a few Facebook group comments, we’re not alone.

I know Bolongo Bay has heart. But something in the culture has clearly shifted. I hope this helps bring attention to it, because people want to love this place. We did too.

We truly wanted Bolongo Bay to become “our spot” for a recurring getaway, something to share with family and friends. But at this point, we’ll likely be looking elsewhere.

Pack em extra stomach

If you’re looking for the 4 or 5 star hotel room and room service then stay away. But if you’re looking great service, serious fun, no worries and to buy worry about where you’re eating everyday, then book Bolongo. The live music daily, the fresh food made to order and the wonderful staff make you feel right at home. The next time we will stay longer. The Sargassum didn’t scare us away. The hotel accommodated for it even though their beach was habitable and enjoyable. Pack an extra stomach because we couldn’t breathe the good was so good. Bolongo beach is also pretty the pictures don’t do it justice. We left and went to other beaches and scheduled around our food reservations. I love it there and can’t wait to return.

Quaint all inclusive!

Our family only had a short time together this summer but we packed in tons of sun and fun at Bologo Bay!! Everyone in our family would come back again soon. We enjoyed time at the pool and the beach as well as am amazing snorkeling excursion where we saw rays, turtles, beautiful red and cool fish. Highly recommend for and enjoyable all inclusive experience!!

A quaint and family friendly all inclusive resort!

My family had a wonderful time at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like we were right at home in paradise.

We soaked up every minute—between the pool, the beach, and the delicious food, there was never a dull moment. One of the absolute highlights was the catamaran excursion to Buck Island, where we got to snorkel and swim with turtles—truly an unforgettable experience!

Our stay wasn’t long, but it was packed with fun, relaxation, and memory-making.
