Nestled on a hillside in the shadow of the majestic twin peaks, The Jalousie Plantation offers stunning sunset views of Jalousie Bay leaving guests with an incredible feeling of awe and calm. Spread over 325 lush acres of tropical forest, the resort is unsurpassed for its natural beauty and is resplendent with native fruit trees, including mango, banana, papaya, coconut, avocado, star fruit, sour sop and hog plum. There are a wide variety of flowering shrubs; hibiscus, jasmine, bougainvillea, and oleander as well as the bright red ‘flamboyant tree” which attracts tiny iridescent humming birds. The Jalousie Plantation was once the site of an 18th century Sugar Mill Estate, the remains of which are integrated into the resort. The lush and breath taking setting, one of the most dramatic in the world dips down to a quarter-mile stretch of secluded white sand beach.
